Getting in Shape Final

I reached my goal. I made it to the convention having gained 5 lbs of muscle. I don’t look wildly different but I’d rather be in shape than not.  The most important thing is that i am now consistent and moving up in weight.  I am going to cosplay next year so I gotta start now and really start putting on muscle. Almost didn’t go today. I am moving so I really don’t want to do anything at all.  I’m pretty stressed out. I have about one week until my deadline and things are looking good. I gained about 3-5 pounds. I have been working out regularly. HOWEVER, my intensity is suspect. I can’t tell if I’m stagnating or just not putting in enough effort.  I think I’m going to shake up the routine and go back to mostly dumbbells. We are officially in the 20s. This streak is going pretty well so far. I'm just glad I finally found a sustainable workout plan I can stick to. I keep forgetting to blog after the workouts. It’s a blessing and a curse because on one hand I’m working out regularly and on the other I don’t get to look back at how long my streak is. :/ The new plan is going very well.  Having the rest days dedicated to calories or sleeping is doing wonders for actually packing in the calories and sleep hours.  I have pretty much only been doing bench press o... » Continue Reading

Legs today. Only did 2 exercises but it was the important ones. I got squats and individual leg press done.  Individual leg press is a bit scary. I am out of practice so on the warmup set I bent my leg a little too far. No pain or anything but the realization that if the weight were heavy I could have broken my leg in half was a wake up call.  My good friend came with me for the first time. Did light arms today. Bench press feels weird. I am officially back at it. I took a couple weeks off for various reasons. I have not been tracking my work outs this month.     I have run into a problem were after I have my rest days I don't want to start again because it feels like every time I go to the gym i have to do legs. I have changed it to a light arm day targeting F.F.E.
