I took a lot of extra time. I think I am tormenting my friend with all the extra time I take. I love playing Clash of Clans and I have been playing it since probably 2013. I have been using it to measure the time between sets. I will attack a base and that will take about a minute and thirty seconds to two minutes. Then I start my next set.
This is opposed to my friend who (I have not seen them workout so I don't actually know) is speed running their workout with maybe a minute between sets. Plus not as arduous of a warm up as I do.
I enjoy my time at the gym but it's difficult to enjoy myself while having someone else waiting to leave during my last one or two exercises. A mature person would bring this up and hash out what to do. I am conflicted because they are being gracious and patient, no complaints from them. So, in theory, there's nothing to bring up and I enjoy spending a little time with them afterwards.
Also what other agreement could I even propose other than
"Lets just leave whenever we are done. Separately, if that's the case."
I don't want to do that either. I think I will keep doing what I am doing and just keep an eye out for their vibe. If a bit of extra time at the gym seems to bother them then I will cross that bridge for both our sakes.
Realistically, them being faster than me is a good thing because I do take a long time and having a reminder to wrap up quickly is net positive.
Also going with someone else to the gym is great because I feel like the trip is out of my hands. I can't just cancel for zero reason because that would be rude.
Anyway, this is not a real problem. I am just mapping out how I will deal with it if it does become an issue.
