Something that's changed between now and the 00s is that in the 00s, most music magazines were about multiple bands/singers. The ones aimed at the younger generation focused on top 40 & kept it easy to read & family friendly. Kids learnt about everyone in the charts, especially the top 10. The others focused on a genre.
