Free Comic Book Day 2023

Category: Travel and Places

Thought I would do a blog post about my day on Free Comic Book Day in Belfast. For those who don't kno w Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) usually happens on the first Saturday in May. As the name suggests it is a day where people can go to participating comic stores and get free comics (the ones labelled free of course, not everything in store). Some stores require you to spend something and others will... » Continue Reading

The most realistic Legends of Tomorrow ending we could get.

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

So now the arrowverse is all but over I have to say I enjoyed it for the most part and honestly the only thing that disappointed me was the Legends of Tomorrow not getting a finale. I said on twitter that a crossover with Superman and Lois as finale writes itself so here is what I came up in a few days.  Superman saves the Legends  First scene is a normal morning on the Kent farm. Everyone getting... » Continue Reading

Booking an Impact Vs MLW wrestling supershow

Category: Sports

I have said on social media a few times that MLW and Impact should do a combined show. This is my attempt at booking it. I have imagined it as two night event one ran by MLW then a month later one run by Impact. In this scenario I am imagining everyone is here to do business for the most part but I am trying to keep it realistic as well. I left out some guys who have not worked for either promotio... » Continue Reading

Replay Games in Bangor, Northern Ireland

Category: Games

Took a 20 minute drive to the next town over from me to go to Replay Games in Bangor, Northern Ireland this week. Due to working full time and having my own machine I don't get to go over there that often.  It is a great store which gained it's name from the fact it was known for selling retro video games and merchandise in the past. These days the retro games area is very small as they now focus ... » Continue Reading

What was with all the snowboarding video games?

Category: Games

So what was with all the snowboarding video games franchises from the late 90 through to mid 2000.  Off the top of my head there was: 1080 snowboarding Snowboard kids Cool Boarders SSX (My personal favourite) Shaun Palmer's pro snowboarder  Amped Dark Summit and Shaun White's Snowboarding. I know that at the time extreme sports where a big deal at the time but why did everyone seem to pick snowboa... » Continue Reading

Things I learned from being a trader at a comic con

Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

So reached a milestone and had my first comic con table last weekend and here is a few things I learned while managing to sell a good copies of Tale of Return (click here if you are in the UK or Ireland and would like copy) 1. Be early to set up other wish you will have to walk a longer distance. I was wise enough to get there in plenty of time but seen a few traders come late and then have to car... » Continue Reading

Charlie Simpson - a musician who grew up with me.

Category: Music

Is it a weird thing to think about but as I grew up and my own music taste matured and changed so did the music of Busted and Fightstar singer Charlie Simpson.  So who is Charlie Simpson? He is British musician who started off his career in the pop punk band Busted who had major hits in the UK in The early 2000s and sold out places like Wembley arena multiple times.  Now even though when you liste... » Continue Reading

SSSS.Gridman the power rangers rip-off that turned into a great anime.

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Been meaning to try this anime called SSSS.Gridman for awhile. So basically this is based on an old  90s Japanese Tokusatsu show (Japanese live action kids shows)  called Gridman The Hyper Agent. It only lasted on one season but was adapted in the same way Power Rangers was with English speaking actors put in the place for the unmasked scenes. Overall a pretty cheesy show in my opinion was as enjo... » Continue Reading

The Arrowverse is a set of TV shows on the CW channel is US (on a variety of channels here in the UK) which are all based on characters from DC comics. Perfect games for a retro night.

Category: Games

Just a thought about if I ever hosted a retro game night then which games I would use. I would likely use all my consoles and have them set up with  different types of video games. 1. Mega Drive - My first console is a mega drive and the game I would pick is Micro Machines V2. A racing game is always a good place to start plus this game has the infamous J-Cart which allows for four players without... » Continue Reading

Reassessing my first spacehey blog post.

Category: Sports

So in my first spacehey blog post I assessed what channels would be willing to show impact wrestling in the UK again.  After looking into it further I have ranked the top five best homes on UK television for Impact. 5. Sky Sports - with ITV extending their deal with AEW to include their second show Rampage it would mean that if Sky are looking at showing wrestling again then Impact would be the pe... » Continue Reading
