Booking an Impact Vs MLW wrestling supershow

I have said on social media a few times that MLW and Impact should do a combined show. This is my attempt at booking it. I have imagined it as two night event one ran by MLW then a month later one run by Impact. In this scenario I am imagining everyone is here to do business for the most part but I am trying to keep it realistic as well. I left out some guys who have not worked for either promotion in awhile or can't work right now through either medical reason or choosing to leave the promotion which is why we have no Von Erichs/Richard Halliday/ EJ Nduka on this list. 

Just for the sake of the stories I am telling I have changed a few championships with Kenny King being X division champ and Davey Richards being National Openweight Champ again.

Night 1: First MLW Vs Impact show:

Bully Ray Vs Ray Jazz - Simple start with Bully coming cutting a promo about MLW and comparing them unfavorable to ECW. This brings out the FBI and Little Guido talks about how Bully should be training the next generation like he is instead of talking about the past. This results in Bully challenging Ray Jazz and beating him however after the bell Bully starts attacking Ray Jazz but with Guido's help the FBI get the upper hand and of course, put Bully through a table. Fun way to start and a heel like Bully getting beat up is something that should get the crowd pumped.

Kazarian Vs Davey Boy Smith Jr - This one doesn't really have much of a story but I don't ever remember seeing this match but I reckon it will be really good. I pick Davey Boy to win this one.

Taya Valkyrie Vs Deonna - I have storyline for Taya which involves her being the only wrestler to do both shows. I would have her lose to Deonna through some sort of screwy finish like tights being grabbed or use of the ropes for leverage.

Lince Dorado Vs Mike Bailey - no storyline really just think the match will be awesome. Dorado Wins

PCO Vs Mads Kruger - monster Vs monsters match. I know Mads Krugger has left MLW but for this I can't see why they can't get him for this one show. I would have Mads win this just for sake for making this even on a score board after both events.

Swat Team Vs Heath and Rhino Vs Willie Mack and Rich Swann Vs Major Players. This is the mad multi team match on the card. One team represents MLW (SWAT team), another Impact (Heath and Rhino), Third team represents a combo of both promotions (Mack and Swann) and finally the last team represents outsiders (Major Players who use the fact they do lots of indy shows to justify their position). SWAT team win to retain.

Davey Richards Vs Eddie Edwards - Former tag partners. Pretty much writes itself here. I pick Davey to win.

Alexander Hammerstone Vs Moose - Feel like this one will also be a great match but haven't got much of a story for it.I don't think MLW would let Hammerstone lose here so he retains.

Sami Calihan Vs John Hennigan - This one has ramifications for the next night. This one starts with Cezar Doran in the ring complaining that he had nothing to do and calls out Santino to make a challenge. Simple challenge really he picks a wrestler to face a wrestler that Santino picks. John Hennigan wins but importantly this is because of an interference by Steve Maclin. The show goes off the air with Duran and Maclin standing side by side.

Between the two big shows on both Impact and MLW's weekly programmes I would have a few things happen:

We discover that Maclin interfered on MLW's behalf because Cezar promised him a title shot at the Impact show. Cezar when he talks to Maclin always refers to the belt as 'Impact's legendary title'. 

Cezar is constantly making matches which theoretically should be tough for the Impact roster and his reasoning is that if he can get the Belts on MLW wrestlers then he can have his Azteca Lucha wrestlers challenge for them next.

The Death Dollz start having miscommunication in their matches occasionally and Rosemary in backstage skits is getting friendly with Hollidead.

We also get some matches to set up the PPV such as Alex Kane Vs Gresham (which leads to the mixed tag match) and a few backstage segments which set up matches such as conversations between Real1 and Joe Hendry and Tankman taking a dislike to Maclin for having a lack of any loyalty.

The week before the PPV is where Cezar announces the whole card for the Impact show including announcing that Josh Alexander Vs Jacob Fatu which brings out Maclin who is pissed off he did not get what he was promised. Cezar explains that he will actually be reactivating the TNA legends title and that Maclin will be facing an MLW star who doesn't really like him and at that point Tankman comes out and attacks him.

Second show: Impact Vs MLW

Jonathan Gresham and Jordynne Grace Vs Alex Kane and Trish Adora. I think this match would be a great start. This match is because Alex Kane wants to get in the head of Gresham by interfering in his wife's matches leading up to PPV but this also makes Grace want to fight him too so Cezar makes an intergender tag match and Kane confirms he will find someone and on the night Trish Adora comes out. I would have Gresham and Grace with Grace getting the pin on Adora. After the match I would have Kane annoyed at Adora for losing which then causes her to slap him and then shake Grace and Gresham's hands then walk off, Kane then tries to attack Gresham but it doesn't work out for him and Gresham ends up getting the better of him.

The Design vs Strange Sangre - I could have put Decay in this position but I think the Design would work better here. I would have this be as simple as both factions trying to steal members from the others and it ending up with the factions in a six-man tag against each other. Teams are Deaner, Angels and Big Kon for the Design and Dr Dax, Arez and Mini Abismo Negro for Strange Sangre. Design win. 

Kenny King Vs Mance Warner - Match made by Cezar who uses the classic line that the X-division is not about weight limits but no limits and I know a man who has no limits to his violence. In a promo I would have Mance say he doesn't really like Cezar but is thankful to get this chance. The match would be hardcore rules and I would have Kenny win by the skin of his teeth.

Death Dollz Vs HEX - For this one I would have the HEX have not officially signed with Impact and have them kayfabe sign for MLW just to get this match. I would have the HEX win but the win comes from a miscommunication with Taya Valkyrie and whoever her partner is.

Calvin Tankman Vs Steve Maclin - for Legends title. explained earlier why this match is happening. I would have Maclin win and then look at the new title confused. Impact Win.

Mickie James Vs Hollidead for the Impact Knockouts championship  - As part of the Taya story I would have Jessika and Rosemary cause an interference which allows Hollidead to win. After the match Jessika reverts back to her Havok persona and the three wrestlers form a new stable with Hollidead as leader. Taya is shown backstage looking disappointed.

The Rascalz (Myron Reed and Trey Miguel) Vs Motor City Machine Guns Vs Bullet Club (Chris Bey and Ace Austin) Vs Billington Bulldogs. Four corners match with one team MLW, another Impact, third team a combination of rosters and fourth team classed as outsiders (which are Bullet.Club die to their association with NJPW). Winner: the Rascalz which confuses the announce team as they don't know what happens next with tag champs being signed to different promotions.

Joe Hendry Vs Real1 - This one I think would create some funny promos and of course a great Joe Hendry song. I pick Joe to win but we could do Real1 and Joe wins the rematch. Impact Show.

Josh Alexander Vs Jacob Fatu - Just simple, it was a great match before and will be again. Don't think impact will let Josh lose it so the winner is Josh. Impact win. After the match Cezar comes out a get some goons to attack Fatu and Alexander who with the help of the SWAT team fend them off. One guy does try to run up the ramp but Steve Maclin comes out to throw him back in. Cezar looks on in horror at all. We end the show with Maclin on the apron and Fatu, Alexander and the Swat team standing tall in the ring.

So there will be a few storylines coming from this show:

Due to him being Impact tag champ Myron Reed has to be released from his MLW contract (which is true at time writing as Myron is no longer working for MLW due to his contract expiring) and we therefore have a few singles matches with Myron trying to earn an contract with Impact otherwise the titles will be vacated. He manages to get a contract after losing two or three matches but it is through heelish tactics as him and Trey are currently heels.

Same story for the HEX except they win in their first match.

Steve Maclin is told by Santino that he needs to give up his legends championship as Impact management never want the title reactivated. Maclin agrees but only if he finally gets his shot at the world title which Santino grants. This would be at the next impact PPV and I would personally have Maclin win it as I think he should be the guy to finally unseat Josh Alexander.

The Taya Valkyrie story now develops as we discover Hollidead has some weird mind control over Havok and Rosemary. I would then have Taya win a number one contenders match and then win the title and in the middle of the match somehow break the mind control and win the title, this reunites the Death Dollz with Taya as Impact Knockouts champion.

Deonna now as MLW women's champ brags about how no one in the Male locker room is as good as her and then Trish Adora comes out. I would now have Trish Adora win the MLW title after a month or two reign with Deonna Perazzo.

I would have Davey Boy Smith Jr turn heel by talking about how he does not get respect for what he did against Kazarian and then have him be the next challenger for Davey Richards. I pick Smith to win that but could go either way.

For Alex Kane I would have him and his associate Mr. Thomas challenge for the MLW tags titles next and he feels he needs to prove that he knows how to do tag wrestling. I would have him and Mr. Thomas win the titles after two or three matches.

Finally after everything is settled and both women's belts have changed back to wrestlers associated with each respective promotion I would have Deonna Purazzo come out and challenge Taya for the Impact title using the fact she beat Taya for the MLW title as her reason for getting a title shot.

So that is my idea for a combined show. I had to leave a few people out that I could not think of a place for like Masha Slamovich, Tasha Steelz and Decay in particular as well as many others.

Let me know what you think. I did end up making each show very heavy with wins for 'their' wrestlers as I think that is probably what would actually happen if this show ever went ahead.

This was the best I could do but I'm sure if the actual bookers of MLW and Impact got together then they could come with something much better.
