Just a thought about if I ever hosted a retro game night then which games I would use. I would likely use all my consoles and have them set up with different types of video games.
1. Mega Drive - My first console is a mega drive and the game I would pick is Micro Machines V2. A racing game is always a good place to start plus this game has the infamous J-Cart which allows for four players without a multi-tap.
2. PS1- Second console is a PlayStation and for this one I would go with a fighting game and what else would you pick but the classic Tekken 3. I personally think it is a perfect fighting game.
3. PS2 - For my PlayStation 2 I am going to cheat a bit. I am going to pick TMNT 3 because it has the SNES classic Turtles in Time in it. Also it is great as you can use a multi-tap for four players.
4. Wii - This one is easy for me. Got to be Super Smash Bros. The Wii has a lot of games that are great for a party but for me smash is the best.
5. XBOX 360 - Got to have a sports game somewhere so I think putting a games a FIFA on the Xbox is best. Probably would pick FIFA 08 or maybe FIFA 15 because I just like the stats of the teams I support in those games.
Might put in a touch of modern gaming too by putting on Mario kart 8 on the switch.
Anyone have any other suggestions considering the consoles I have?

I love old games just like my friend. Recently, I was wondering what game to buy for him as a gift. Finally, I decided to buy a gift card. It's a safer solution. I recommend this store, I always shop there and never had any problems: https://royalcdkeys.com/products/xbox-live-gift-card-15-usd-us-xbox-live-cd-key

A bit plain but I always go for Mario Party 2 on the N64. Always good fun and almost anyone can get into it, gamer or otherwise. Great game to drink along to, as well.

Mario party is always a great shout. Unfortunately don't own an N64 although I am strongly considering getting one.

i usually just emulate it. retroarch works great for it because i can just use any old controller i have around and i don’t rly have to mess around with configuring anything

Yeah I prefer to actually collect games rather than emulate. Brings some joy to actually play on the original hardware.

Very true. Very little beats original hardware on a nice CRT for the older systems.

Very true!! For the most third parties could never quite master the Wii for the most part but Nintendo really did perfect the Wii.
