End of the Arrowverse?

The Arrowverse is a set of TV shows on the CW channel is US (on a variety of channels here in the UK) which are all based on characters from DC comics. They are a connected universe where characters crossover all the time and originally started with the show Arrow (hence the name) but now with two of the shows have been cancelled. Could this be the end for the Arrowverse?

So Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman have both been cancelled. To be honest I am not surprised by Batwoman as I honestly thought it was pretty boring especially during season 3 but Legends I was very surprised got cancelled as it has been consistently entertaining and I thought they would at least get some sort of finale. There is calls for a TV movie to finish the series so let's hope it happens. There is a petition to sign as well which might help just click here.

Now with the Arrowverse down to just the Flash and Superman and Lois does this mean the end for the Arrowverse?

The Flash is almost certainly on it's last season with the next one if rumours are to be believed. Especially with the apparent sale of the CW likely meaning all DC comics related shows won't be around for too long after Warner Bros sell their stake in the channel.

Superman and Lois has been a success though and does not look to be ending anytime soon. I am not sure if the proposed John Diggle (character from the original show Arrow) will get off the ground or even if the proposed Gotham Knights show about the Robins and Batgirl is in the Arrowverse. I know the CW also have Naomi (small update, this was also cancelled) and Stargirl which are shows based on DC comics but they are set in 'adjacent' universes which basically means they are in a parallel universe which can cross over but that also means they can easily ignore the Arrowverse and continue on uninterrupted.

Here is hoping that Arrowverse can continue as I have always enjoyed it.
