my initial thoughts about arma 3

Category: Games

this is just a straight copy from me yelling into an at-that-point empty discord server just finished the first campaign mission of arma 3... gotta say, the sheer ineptitude that the greek soldiers are painted in is so accurate, it hurts. we had a guy staying at the second home of my land who was a greek soldier and almost became a commando (but instead came to america for uni) and he's so oblivio... » Continue Reading

breaking into a friend's dorm by accident

Category: Life

so i asked a friend that lives in a different dorm if she wanted to hang out, and offered we play minecraft. she said sure, to give her 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, i knock on her door, to which i am met with a surprised friend who's first question is "how did you get in this building?" followed by "i thought you meant online," to which i replied that someone let me in and that i meant in person ... » Continue Reading

Category: Music

had my dorm to myself today and was feeling some emotions, so i decided to write and record a song. thing is, i can't comfortably be loud with vocals in there cos neighbours, so i decided to make the trek to my car and record myself there a la csh. and actually? really effective. good acoustics, and i was super comfortable with being as loud as i wanted. » Continue Reading

how did i ace calculus 1

Category: School, College, University

i wasn't even sure i was going to pass  calculus last semester, so the fact i got an A in it is mind-boggling... and i am even more exasperated now in calc 2, in my first lesson. first half of the lecture, i was keeping up, but then at the second half it is like a switch flicked off and i could not understand a single word that was being said by my professor.  i should not have been allowed to con... » Continue Reading

nervous for new musics

Category: Music

as i have mentioned previously on this blog, i have been making some music this little while, and i think it is done. it all sounds good (to me, anyway), feels good, and i think it is ready. but i am still a bit nervous... that's fine though, because i have a hard limit of when i can finish working on it, and it is tomorrow, for monday i return to college- leaving my room with my gear and well-und... » Continue Reading

is saying that the music one made is low quality on purpose a cop-out, or can there be truth to that declaration?

Category: Music

i am quite a fan of decently, but not well, produced music. i really cannot enjoy well-produced music, as it all sounds a bit fake to me. and so when i record my music, i am not concerned with perfection. i slip up sometimes, and i like that. however, that also applies to the production (aka the mix) of the musics. my mixes are generally a bit rough around the edges. but is it because i do not hav... » Continue Reading

napping in a stranger's house after exerting myself by talking about electric cars

Category: Blogging

spending new year's with my girlfriend's family, and we did the actual celebration at her aunt's neighbour's house, whom i have never met. after finally warming up with someone and talking my head off about electric cars (and some other things), i got a bit tired (also because i ate a lot), and so i took a fat nap at their game room's couch. quite an experience, i must say, to nap in a stranger's ... » Continue Reading

impersonal lyrics in songs and my confusion on how i made a song with... impersonal lyrics (at least to me)

Category: Music

one of the reasons i love emo music but can't truly get into much else comes down to the fact that other stuff just isn't as personal. music has always been a way for me to express my emotions and experiences above all else, as i am not all that great at talking, and so i listen to what i feel and have been going through. sure, i listen to plenty of jazz and prog/post rock, but that only really co... » Continue Reading

microsoft can go away thanks

Category: Games

got a new computer, has windows 11. i download minecraft and it won't open. uninstall, install, uninstall, install. same stuff, launcher broke. i restart my computer and try again... this time, it at least tells me why: i (essentially) need to sign in to a microsoft account to open this. WHAT? grade-a pain, this is. i downloaded it off of minecraft.net, so of course that means i had to sign in to ... » Continue Reading

woes of linux and music

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

over the past few months, my laptop has truly shown its age. and so, i put linux into it. most everything worked just as well or better than on windows... except for ableton, my preferred daw. i tried to run it via wine, but that was a stuttery and crackly mess (almost like a 30 year old vinyl that has been played a thousand times). my guide to linux found someone who was able to get it working wi... » Continue Reading
