ebbs and flows of dates

i woke up with a headache this morning. i joked i had a hangover from last night's single slowly-drunk apple cider and the two bowls of pasta i had. but also i know that yesterday as a whole did not help either. i had gotten only a couple hours of sleep for yesterday, before i had to run to work and then take an exam i bombed completely. i just wanted to sleep by that point, and i tried to nap but i simply couldn't. very strange for me, i can usually sleep without troubles.

i also by extension had so much trouble doing basic arithmetic for my homework last night... and the long long long call(s!) with at&t followed by unfortunately slow internet and also buying a $200 textbook did not help my mental situation.

i am especially bothered by my exam performance by the fact that i know i could've answered those questions if i had enough time, and also because that class is with the professor i want to research under.

today is my training for my promotion.

my weekend, meanwhile, was far nicer. we had a nice big party that went quite well, i feel. the race on sunday was godly, yippee to carlos sainz! i watched that race in its entirety twice. i cannot wait for suzuka my beloved...

that is something i think i will do between my classes and training tonight, go home and play suzuka on some racing game. that's what my soul needs, probably....

actually, i don't even need to go home, i have gran turismo on my ps vita which is in my backpack. i am so based.

speaking of, calculator watch....... so so good. i am glad the extra face buttons are not just for the calculator, they are actually useful in the time, stopwatch, and alarm modes as well. setting the time was so so easy thanks to the buttons, i am quite pleased. i had a bit of a hiccup as i was typing in the date as dd/mm/yy, so the day was wrong for a couple days, but i eventually figured out it was in the more based yy/mm/dd format. yippee.

the stock headphones for my walkman broke, so i may begin modifying the headphone cable to end right after the controls/receiver portion and attach a 3.5mm jack there so that i can attach any headphones i want. i will also need to get some new iems for that, may get tin t2's again (i miss them so much).

also, beginning to repair my other portable cassette player (and recorder!!!), a sony tcm-r2. i sent the manual with the belt part numbers to a company that sources and custom makes belts, but even they don't have any information on them. so i should measure them out and send over my measurements. if anyone has any tips, i would appreciate it.

still got a headache, yikes.
