I never start with my own personal tech stuff. My first smart phone was a hand-me-down from my older brother. I never owned a gaming console. My brothers have many each, I just use theirs, or borrow. I got my first laptop in 2019, when I was already finished with college. It was my now-wife's old laptop. She gave it to me for my birthday, a few months after she had gotten a new one. Later, she wou... » Continue Reading
Daylight savings makes us lose an hour in the spring, then gain an hour in the fall. You could say that we "spring forward" an hour and "fall back" an hour. I don't understand why daylight savings is a thing, I could research it, but I don't care that much. But what I do care about is that one year, 2009, time fell back on Halloween night. As such, Halloween was extended by one hour. I'm sure it's... » Continue Reading
Root canal and gold crown on the top left. Gap on the top right. All payed without insurance, but now I finally have insurance. Oh well. At least I got it all done at the dentistry school so it was kinda cheap. It took a year, but it's finally over. May 2023, my jaw popped. A crackle in the joint, and I couldn't close my mouth all the way on that side. I was terrified for the next day, but my wife... » Continue Reading
my wife and i moved states right after getting married just over four years ago. When you move, you gotta establish where you will go for doctor appointments. In my case, i thought about dental work. I felt I had some cavities in my furthest-back molars. but I was working part-time, so if I wanted to have dental insurance, i would have to get it entirely on my own. (I at least got health insurance... » Continue Reading
I recently made a blog about how idk what I'm doing with my life (in a good way) , and it's holding up. A couple days ago at work, I kept feeling anxiety for seemingly no reason. You know how you might have something on your mind that is bothering you, but you gotta focus on what's on hand at the moment, partially distracting you, but once you're done you realize you had been feeling anxiety the w... » Continue Reading
I don't have any friends. Not really. I met a girl a few years ago. We got close, started holding hands, started kissing. Now we're married. I have a brother to whom I am very close. I have a couple childhood best-friends who I see once or twice a year now. My wife has a couple co-worker friends I get to mingle with every one-to-two months. I have my own coworkers, but they're not friends . There ... » Continue Reading
(this is a follow-up to a blog I wrote a week ago , which I wrote the next day, but am finally posting now.) I've been thinking about this all day. Still unsure of how to feel about it. I liked my conclusion yesterday about, but I still need to sort through some thoughts. What triggered this realization wa » Continue Reading
A friend lent me Goodnight and Have a Pleasant Tomorrow by The Brobecks in 2009. I fell in love with it. I was in the middle of high school and that album still conjures up the best memories of that time of my » Continue Reading
It seems there is always some "problem" at the back of my mind. On any given week, I might have on the back of my mind a list of things like: I need to re-register my car, set an important dental appointment, update my health insurance, change my car tires. You know, adult crap like that. It's constant. As soon as I replace my car tires, my AC ceiling vent falls off. As soon as I finish the dental... » Continue Reading
I've done very little research, but the one video I watched said it's quite easy. I'll look into it more, but I'm try to lucid dream. I've been keeping a dream diary (a yume nikki, if you will), I've been making conscious notes during waking hours of if I am awake, I've been checking the time then immediately again to see if it changed, I've been looking at small detailed things like my phone, cal... » Continue Reading
