the mischaracterization of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson

Category: Books and Stories

Hey what’s up, another Sherlock Holmes entry cause I can. Sherlock Holmes just might be the most misrepresented character ever (in my opinion of course). In most modern media they make Sherlock out to be a cold, nonchalant, doesn’t care about feelings, will always figure out a case, overall asshole type of guy.  but he’s really not! When i first read the series, I was surprised that Sherlock was j... » Continue Reading

Around the world in 80 Days

Category: Books and Stories

Around the World in 80 Days is a fantastic book that everyone should read. The characters are funny and likable. The ending is a little anti-climactic, that's my only criticism. 9/10. The movies, however... They're not the best.  » Continue Reading

BBC Sherlock

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Anyone who thinks that BBC Sherlock is a good show, you are sorely mistaken. First, the creator is an annoying person who hates his own fans. And has been queerbaiting teens since 2010. The pacing is horrible and disrespectful to its source material.  All in all, no one should be watching this show, and no one should be calling it anything other than a waste of time.  » Continue Reading

The Night Circus *Spoilers*

Category: Books and Stories

I finished reading The Night Circus and I have to say I am disappointed. So many people reviewed this book and said it was the best thing they had ever read. I stupidly got the book, trusting the booktok people (never trust those people). When I read the summary I thought it was going to be a light heated comedy about two circuses competing with each other. I was sorely mistaken. It was a very con... » Continue Reading

Art vs Mothers (with a lot of life rambling/venting)

Category: Life

Ever since 2nd grade I took a liking to art (I didn't get serious/ own a sketchbook until like 2019-2020 (5th-6th grade) but that doesn't even matter rn so blah). And my mom was very happy for me. I think so anyway. The first time I showed her what I made was a Spongebob drawing of all the characters from memory, it was for my sister while she was away at camp. I was maybe in the 6-7 age range. Sh... » Continue Reading

Will Wood Rant

Category: Music

Will Wood is a singer/songwriter, mostly known for   Will Wood and the tapeworms. And he also made a movie called The Real Will Wood, I haven’t watched it, cause I can’t (looks bad though, but maybe that was intentional or something, you know like the “camp” thing). Anyway, I would say I am a fan of his work. But there’s one thing I hate about William Woodiam. His Fanbase 😮. Yeah they’re so fuckin... » Continue Reading

The Last Taxi Driver

Category: Books and Stories

The Last Taxi Driver is SUCH a good book. Can't believe I randomly picked out this gem blindly. The writing is so chill and the main character is very relatable. And the characters feel so real. So real. They're all so stupid and feel like people I have met in real life. Also the frustration the main character feels over traffic lights is SO REAL. Okay, the whole book is real. The whole thing.  » Continue Reading

Sherlock Hound

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

There are few shows that I like that revolve around cannon Sherlock and Watson. But there’s one recently that I really enjoyed, and that’s Sherlock Hound. It’s basically a Sherlock Holmes show with anthropomorphic dogs. And it’s great. It’s made by studio Gibli, so that is guaranteed great animation. Oh my goodness the animation is SO GOOD. MMMMM. GAWDDDD. The character design for the men is sooo ... » Continue Reading

my best friend

Category: Friends

They made me write this. My best friend's name is Azrael, he's in one word... Interesting. And a big fucking nerd. They like Homestuck (you can't fight the Homestuck apparently) and spent the whole beginning of our friendship ranting to me about the ins and outs of the lore. (I still can't make sense of it, unfortunately 0:). He gets intense about the things he likes. You will NOT like anything mo... » Continue Reading

Gender

Category: Blogging

I am comfortable with my gender as one can be. But if I woke up as a boy I wouldn't be complaining. If boys and girls were treated the same I don't think I would want to look like one.   » Continue Reading
