This AI thing is starting to drive me crazy

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Every time I hear something in regards to tech, websites, services, it's always about how they're adding some form of AI so you don't have to do any thinking for yourself. Like, I just got a notification from eBay advertising how they're working on an AI that will write a listing for you from an image. Can people not even write down what they're selling themselves anymore? And the AI images and vi... » Continue Reading

Making a neocities

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

So I've been wanting to look into a little bit of HTML and CSS. I've poked and prodded at it once in a while, but it never really stuck. Well, that is about to change!  Behold! The  Gunner Zone!  (For real this time!) I've had an account on there for a while, but I just never did anything with it until now. I've got simple plans for » Continue Reading

Windows Mobile PDA my beloved

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

So I have had it with my phone. Updates changing things, notes not saving properly, AI in places it should not be (STILL salty about an update turning my power button into a Gemini button), just becoming harder to use as time goes on. So I decided to downgrade. Went on eBay, looked for the PDA of my choice, and picked myself up an iPaq rx1950, running Windows Mobile 5.0. This thing was an oddity i... » Continue Reading

Be wary of returned items

Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping

I love deals, I love saving money on things.  And as it turns out there are shops dedicated to selling returned items from online retailers such as Amazon at discount prices. I got three things from such a store; a portable vacuum, a surge protected power block, and a phone tripod, costing about $15 each. The portable vacuum made a terrible grinding noise, started spewing smoke and died within » Continue Reading

Romance Planet goes hard

Category: Music

So I've recently found out about Romance Planet, and they have instantly become one of my favourite artists. My favourite song would have to be Bleed Runaway. Very energetic, good stuff, I've gotta look more into this genre. » Continue Reading

Time to learn me some page customization

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

I think it's time I try to customize my page just a tad. Been the same stock style for a while, as well as a few public layouts. It might be fun to try and learn some of this stuff. Already got some stuff in the works, got some red text, all the fun stuff, and it's only the beginning. » Continue Reading

I've entered the Void of linux

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Recently installed Void Linux on my laptop, and I gotta say, liking the feel of it so far. I'm still not the most confident in my abilities, so for now I've just installed it from the local XFCE image, rather than doing the minimal install. I did give it a shot, but WiFi still kinda hurts my brain and this laptop doesn't have ethernet lol. Despite that, it's been pretty nice to use, and quite spee... » Continue Reading

I've gotta start looking into more music more often.

Category: Music

I don't really look for a lot of new music. I just kinda happen to drift into a track I really like, obsess over it for a week or so, then move onto the next one. Well, I follow this one guy on Youtube, David Dean Burkhart, who mainly posts a lot of various music from various artists and bands.  I don't really look a lot into them, mostly just kinda forget about them until I see a few new tracks i... » Continue Reading

CRT's terrify me

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

So I recently got a hold of a decent CRT. Just a generic mid range Sanyo from god knows when. Can't seem to find much information about this specific model at all, which is the most interesting thing about it lol. It's the Sanyo AVM-2568C for anyone curious. It appears to be form around 2000 based on a PDF archive of some electronic repair magazine? I dunno. It does its job alright. Has an AV inpu... » Continue Reading

I swear, y'all in the Mario 64 community are just making shit up at this point.

Category: Games

Watching a five hour documentary on the "A Button Challenge". The idea is to beat the game with as few A button presses as possible. A simple concept. Of course, the Mario 64 community being the Mario 64 community, it did not stay a simple concept for long. Like, what even are half of these techniques? Goomba bridges? HOLP? Parallel Universes? Cloning? Guys once found a technique that involved 14 ... » Continue Reading

I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna install Gentoo

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Now, this is something I've been meaning to do for a while, the only things preventing me from doing so being a combination of laziness and fear. Well, that changes now. I got the VM, I got the ISO, I got the documentation, I got the time, the only thing stopping me now is that ever so persistent procrastination. Today is the day. Today I lay down the groundwork for greatness and realize my true p... » Continue Reading

Having "Fun" with alternative browsers

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Now, I don't really have a practical need for any other web browser aside from Firefox. It serves me well, loading web pages, letting me search things, look for media, all general browser things. Good stuff. One problem: It looks too modern. I'm messing around with theming my PC, and I recently found out about this thing called "Chicago95". It's a project that's designed to make the XFCE desktop e... » Continue Reading
