Mario Kart 8 is one of my new favourite games

So I recently got a copy of Mario Kart 8 for Wii U. A little late to the party, I know.

Now, I'm not really all too big on racing games, the only two I ever really played being Burnout and Mario Kart Wii. Well, after getting a not fried Wii U, and seeing that Mario Kart 8 was only like, $20 on it, I decided to give it a go.

Holy hell, have I been missing out. This is just an absolute blast, feeling even more tense then Mario Kart Wii did. I should've gotten on this sooner!

I kinda wish I could play it online. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to get my Nintendo account from my Switch onto the system. I thought it would be easy, considering I made that account on a Wii U to begin with. I'm not about to pay $80 for another copy of the game either.

Something I have considered doing one day is modding the system. There's this little project called Pretendo in the works, basically a replacement for Nintendo Network services on the Wii U and 3DS, including online play and Miiverse. Would love to get in on that.

Maybe if I find a copy of 8 Deluxe for cheap second hand I'll consider just nabbing that. Either way, having a blast with this. I miss the Wii U days.
