JCHC - The Forgotten Subculture

Category: Music

Hi everyone, I'm new to spacehey, and don't know if I should begin with such a lengthy post, but wanted to share something kind of personal to me. I'm a Christian, and growing up in a dramatically changing culture really forced me to delve deep into what I personally enjoy and believe, so that I'm curtain I'm not simply following the masses. One of the things I enjoyed, that wasn't very popular am... » Continue Reading

Do NOT Regulate SpaceHey

Category: SpaceHey

Now that I've got your attention, let me start by saying I agree SpaceHey is a small private project and An can moderate content here anyway he wants. SpaceHey also must comply with local Hate Speech Laws and has its own policies regarding hate speech. There are several platforms that are based in the United States th » Continue Reading

Privacy and Smartphones

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Most of us are aware iOS and Android aren't the most privacy focused operating systems, at least if you're concerned about corporate data collection. However, Android is open source, and while much of it reli » Continue Reading

What Social Media do you Use?

Category: Blogging

Since we're all on spacehey I'm sure y'all are aware social media has been getting extremely bland over the last 8 years. Whether it's advertisers trying to instigate censorship or tech companies trying to oversimplify their products, it feels like nobody is really expressing themselves anymore. These problems are probably just a result of the internet becoming more accessible to a broader range o... » Continue Reading

Games with 2.5D Graphics

Category: Games

When I was little I played a lot of 3D platformers and action-adventure games. However, there was a few unique things that caught my eye around this time. A really fun PS2 game called Klonoa 2, and the occasional appearance of 2D drawings in 3D environments (think Space Jam).  » Continue Reading

I made an AMV (kinda)

Category: Music

I use to make AMVs of my favorite video game series, Jak and Daxter. Watching other people's AMVs was what actually got me into heavier music as well. After graduating High School and upgrading to Final Cut Pro I never could find the tim » Continue Reading

I love the PS3

Category: Games

My first console was the PlayStation 2, and for awhile I didn't think I needed anything else. In the summer of 2009 I went over to my cousin's house and saw him playing the PlayStation 3. The graphics were like nothing I had ever seen before. So, I went to Best Buy, and made the largest purchase of my life at the time. I got a late fat model PS3 for 500$. Later that year the slim model came out fo... » Continue Reading

CHRISTIANITY not what you think

Category: Religion and Philosophy

Despite SpaceHey primarily being made up of younger folks, it's a fairly theologically diverse group of people. As the internet has given us access to all the world's information, the new generations tend to rethink everything, and the old generations tend to appear ignorant. In most English speaking countries this makes the old Christian Church look incredibly outdated.  What I've learned over th... » Continue Reading

Sick of Echo Chambers

Category: News and Politics

Let me start off by saying I don't want to write about politics on here because I interact with politics in every other space I'm involved in. I got into politics in middle school, primarily because I felt the United States government was overstepping its authority. It had nothing to do with what I wanted, simply that I cared about truth and felt truth cannot prevail in a system where criminals ar... » Continue Reading

Translations of the Holy Bible

Category: Religion and Philosophy

I've been feeling like writing a new blog post recently but just haven't been passionate about anything SpaceHey related lately. I do, however, know a lot about Bibles. So, if you ever were curious why there's so many translations out there and which I recommend, read on! In Short First it's important to know what a translation is of. The Holy Bible is a collection of books considered to be true, ... » Continue Reading
