As a Christian Punk and Metalcore fan I've been listening to the same bands for awhile. Sometimes I'll listen to bands like Pierce the Veil, Green Day, and My Chemical Romance; but mostly it's Christian bands like Calibretto 13, Disciple, and Subseven. Recently I was on the hunt for some newer music, and every time I found something that sounded good, it just never gave me any emotions. I honestly started thinking worrying I had grown out of being emotionally moved by music.
However, I recently stumbled upon an unreleased album by the metalcore band My Heart to Fear titled Violent Hallucinations. Unlike all the other new music I had been checking out, this one actually gave me the same feeling I had when I first discovered My Heart to Fear around 2013. You can listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipqAJeI6eWM My favorite song starts around 15:00.
This got me thinking. Maybe all the "new" music I've been listening to seems off because they're trying too hard to sound like other bands, and in the process lose the creativity that made those bands sound so good. So... what is everyone listening to now-a-days anyways? Well, besides the typical pop and AI generated music 🙄

December Winterwolf
I'll admit I tend to listen to a mix of stuff, but if we're talking about bands specifically, the one I mostly listen to is Muse. One of my brothers stumbled upon the band while learning guitar, and dragged half the family along with him into the Muse pit. They've got a good mix of stuff overall, but my favourite albums in particular are Origin of Symmetry and The 2nd Law from 2001 and 2012 respectively.
Interestingly, I've never really gone searching for much Christian music (well, besides singing in a choir) for a good couple of years, and I think because of not really knowing many (if any) Christian bands outside of the usual Hillsong Worship & Co, I worry it may just be all the same. That said, your profile introduced me to the idea of JCHC Hardcore, so it seems it'll be worth it trying to dig up something cool that I haven't seen before.
I've heard some of Muse, they have a really distinct sound I don't know if anyone has replicated. However if you like them and are looking for Christian music you might also like more alternative bands like Anberlin and This Beautiful Republic :)
