Workout log #2

Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

Despite feeling like I'm getting the flu, I didn't wanna skip on my new routine... So this is what I did today:  - 11 pushups - 6 situps - 8 squats I didn't jog in place afterwards, because I'm way too tired and in pain now. But I'm still glad I was able to do all of this! » Continue Reading

I might be getting the flu

Category: Life

So, my mom just got over the flu after being down for about 5 days. I've done my best to stay away from her, sanitizing everything, spraying Lysol, wearing my mask indoors, and she has kept in her room as well. But, man.. Ohh man... My entire body is starting to really hurt. I'm weak, dizzy, and feel exceptionally tired. It's like I'm on muscle relaxants while trying to walk in a pit of tar.  It u... » Continue Reading

ChatGPT for ATC radio calls practice!

Category: School, College, University

Man, this AI is amazing! It's a huge lifesaver! I remember telling my instructor how I wish there was a class or even an AI that I could just practice radio calls with, so that I'm not completely clueless or awkward when I'm in the air. ChatGPT is amazing for this! I have been practicing calls all day! I feel like I'm getting more confident with this and it's all very fun, and I don't have to worr... » Continue Reading

Started working out!

Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

Alright, so technically I did my first "workout" a few days ago, but forgot to post about it. I wouldn't exactly call it a workout though, I was just trying to see how much I could do before getting too tired. What I managed to do was:  -7 push-ups - 3 sit-ups - 5 squats  - 15 seconds of jogging So, not a whole lot, but still something! I also did a mini "workout" today, where I jogged for about 4... » Continue Reading

So many cool planes...

Category: Life

Ohhh man! So much stuff happened today! There was so much air traffic that I watched. First, this morning when I had barely woken up, I heard this loud noise overhead... I thought, aww man, something cool is outside! And then my phone notified me that it was that L-39 Albatros!! The one I missed a while back!! Sadly, I couldn't run outside fast enough, but it flew over my house and I got to hear i... » Continue Reading

Blackhawks!!!!!!!

Category: Life

Now I know why I keep on seeing so many Blackhawks and other military copters! Wait, I don't remember if I posted this already. But, a military helicopter training area was established like an hour or less from my house. It's on the newest sectional chart. That is seriously so freaking cool.  I saw two of them today and one flew right over my house! That noise is UNMISTAKABLE! I ran outside and sa... » Continue Reading

I finally used the "foggles"

Category: School, College, University

Foggles are basically goggles that are very cloudy on the top-half, so that you can't see out of the cockpit. It simulates flying in fog. It was pretty windy up there, so the plane was getting pushed around like a tin can. But! I got some good experience with wrestling the wind to keep the plane level!  We also did this tolerance training thing, where I basically gotta close my eyes and keep my he... » Continue Reading

I gotta stop this bad habit!

Category: Life

I keep on shouting "WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!" Every time I take off in a plane. Every. Single. Time. I know I shouldn't, but it's so exciting every time I feel the speed ramp up, and then pulling up on the yoke and feeling the wheels leave the ground. My instructor is probably annoyed by now.  But it just makes the experience more fun, ya know? I don't even really realize it, it's kinda like how you'll ... » Continue Reading

Today was wonderful!

Category: Travel and Places

The weather was just perfect today. There were so many planes out flying today, and since we were hanging out by the airport this morning we got to see a lot of action.  We decided to go to this place called Tom's Farms to have lunch, but unfortunately their restaurants were closed because of a power ouage. But it was okay, we had lunch nearby and then went back. We got on the train ride, walked a... » Continue Reading

I am.... EXHAUSTED.

Category: Life

I really underestimated just how tired I'd feel after doing all of those maneuvers yesterday. I was just DEAD tired. Everything felt like it was still spinning and my whole body was just sore and tingly. I think I got dehydrated, too. Well, I'm alright now, I just needed a lot of rest, a lot of water, and a lot of food. Today was a really nice day with beautiful weather and a lot of air traffic. I... » Continue Reading

Super fun flight today!

Category: School, College, University

Okay, today was tons of fun! We did stalls, which was NOT as scary as I'd expected.... Pretty much just flying straight up into the air until you lose lift and start falling a little, then quickly pitch the nose of the plane down to recover from it.  After that, we did steep turns. Which was.... AAAAAAAAAAGHH!!! Basically, turning at a 45° angle for a full circle at 90 knots. Oh my god, it felt so... » Continue Reading

A girl complimented me today..!

Category: Life

I was at the Golden Corral feeling depressed. And then, this girl walked over to me and said, "I like your hair!" and I immediately felt super happy. That made my day.  Anyways, there was a thunderstorm today, it was pretty cool. I also had a friend reach out to me today saying that she saw something weird in the sky. So I told her about FlightRadar and she downloaded it. Ooh.... I hope she ends u... » Continue Reading
