Okay, today was tons of fun! We did stalls, which was NOT as scary as I'd expected.... Pretty much just flying straight up into the air until you lose lift and start falling a little, then quickly pitch the nose of the plane down to recover from it.
After that, we did steep turns. Which was.... AAAAAAAAAAGHH!!! Basically, turning at a 45° angle for a full circle at 90 knots. Oh my god, it felt so weird! Like, being on a roller coaster. I did a perfect one, apparently. My instructor said that I did pretty good with all of those maneuvers today.
The last thing we did was practicing more landings. I am stiiiill a little rough on those. I almost stalled a couple of times because I keep on trying to pitch the nose up out of habit instead of just increasing the throttle.
But, my radio comms are a lot better! I talked to ground and tower today, but once we were in the air, I was having trouble hearing and it turns out that something's just wrong with the plane's avionics plug-ins in general. Cuz whenever we'd land, the bump would bring the audio back, but once we were up it died out again.
So, it made for some awkward moments of my instructor trying to get my attention but I couldn't hear him.
Oh yeah, I ran into one of my classmates from the ground school too! He's doing good! And my ground instructor (sho is now a flight instructor) was there today as well, and it looks like we'll be flying on the third week of April! I can't wait!
Now... I am pretty tired, and sore. I think I wrestled that control yoke a bit too much this time around. My arms hurt from doing that. I'm just gonna lay in bed now, and hopefully it won't be too windy to fly on Tuesday.
