I quit my career job, and have no plans for two years. Here i am.

Category: Life

I took a little time off from life. Exactly five years. For what? Mental health mainly, redemption and rehabilitation, and time to relax. I feel much better thanks to my parents giving me a chance when no one else would.  If you don't know, I quit my career job about five weeks ago. And I don't have a plan to be completely honest.  This is and will be the most relieving decision I've ever made.  » Continue Reading

When Cats Were Gods, and when gods were cats

Category: Religion and Philosophy

In the beginning of the internet, we all became broadcasters of our own audiences. We didn't even see it happen. We just cared about this thing or that thing and we wrote about our lives with the unintended consequence of being heard. You see, we were not built for this. At least not in the evolutionary era of the mind. When you are born into this, it is different. We pass a certain level of under... » Continue Reading

Acceptance is Dead

Category: Blogging

The idea that any one of us is pure is absurd. We've all said or did the wrong thing at some point in our lives. If we are fortunate, we learned from those things. If we did not learn, we became fools. But even a foolish life can be turned around, if enough things happen. I'm not saying everyone is good or everyone is evil, but we have to sort this out by living with each other. Remove that course... » Continue Reading

The Future of the Flock

Category: News and Politics

Information, the purest of curiosities, is under attack. If knowledge is power, then we must keep this weapon from everyone. Right? When I was a child, my father told me not to look outside of our own religion unless I wanted to fall further from god. I used to write down the sermons that the preachers shouted at us from the pulpit, so my dad tried to use this against me. He drove me to another sm... » Continue Reading

The Working Class Revolution and My Wallet

Category: Blogging

I haven't posted in a while because I am stuck working many extra hours. I'm currently covering three people's jobs and my employer can't find anyone wanting to work.  Now this is something big. All across America, people had a year off. They pocketed all the free money from the government, with no fears of not paying their rent, and then those silly govs thought they could just turn everything ba... » Continue Reading

Vending Machines and Desperation on the Road

Category: Blogging

As much as I hate holidays and refuse to participate in them, I do have offspring that I care enough to make the drive and hang out for a day.  Again, I'm off the highways, exploring old America. All the abandoned buildings that once thrived on travelers or industry, rusting and rotting as nature reclaims the earth, remind me that we are a temporary thing here. Then one glance at a sprawling field... » Continue Reading

Anxiety and Languish, the Smoking Section

Category: Travel and Places

A forced week off, a coin flip, and a carton of cigarettes, team up with a drunk and two sponges to create a wild drug induced vacation ending in human growth. Or something. I spent the week in Denver Colorado because I asked someone to flip a coin for my forced vacation destination. Anything is better than seven days at home alone in your own thoughts, a » Continue Reading

Choice Versus Force: Minimalism

Category: Religion and Philosophy

Minimalism is a popular part of many religions and cults. Give up your earthly possessions. Take no part of the things of this world. Your real treasures are waiting for you in Heaven. I've heard plenty of reasons for giving up everything, especially this new idea of "you will own nothing and you will be happy" I already own nothing, because no thing has brought me happiness. I tried to collect to... » Continue Reading

A Tale of Two Thanksgivings

Category: Religion and Philosophy

What do we expect from our society when we continually create dividing lines? I remember a long time ago you could disagree with someone and still be friends. We had discussions. We learned things. But most importantly, we did not make our opinions our identities. Now we have a line in the sand on everything. You are left or right, there is no longer an in-between. In fact, if you aren't on either... » Continue Reading

I hate road trips, most of the time

Category: Travel and Places

After I wrote a scathing group of paragraphs detailing how much I hate holidays and how celebrating the anniversary of anything is stupid and trivial crap to keep you busy, I had a change of heart.  I also faced a boring four day weekend, so I deleted the post and decided to go on a trip. Easy for me to feel hi » Continue Reading

The Problem With History

Category: Religion and Philosophy

If you haven't figured it out yet, I commonly turn my anger to the page instead of causing a scene. Sorry if I rant too much.  I've been living the desert for four years. Minimal social contact. A retreat after hard times. A place to relax, write, maybe be inspired by something for once. Covid didn't even affec » Continue Reading

You Can't Win Anymore

Category: News and Politics

Recently I offended Twitter, that absolute garbage pit of anger and outrage, because I supported a transgender woman. Despite what you may believe the movement is, there is a problem. You have to adhere to the exact ideology. I didn't do a background check on this girl. Yes I'll call her a girl. She's cool. I suffered for not understanding that she is not allowed in the group. » Continue Reading
