My Blog Post Directory and Guide

Category: SpaceHey

Hello. Here's a directory of each of my blog post subjects. I use the letters in brackets to denote what each post is part of, as I feel the blog subject option doesn't do it properjustice, especially if it's part of a series. [M-Mu] Music entries and thoughts, sometimes weekly. I try. [M-Bl] Actual blog stuff and things within and about my life (at least, the stuff I'm comfortable sharing) [Tetr]... » Continue Reading

[M-Mu] Music Obsessions, October 2023

Category: Music

Busy, busy, busy month...this month was quite possibly the most musically dense month I've ever had, and this post will likely reflect it in monolithic size. I don't even feel I have the time to get into attending my first concert, as I feel that deserves a post in its own right. Just trying to conceptualize how much writing this is going to take is stressing me out, so let's just jump right in. |... » Continue Reading

[M-Mu] Music Obsessions, September 2023

Category: Music

I'm curious if there's any interest out there in exactly how I structure these posts, as I use a very copy paste template at this point that I'm proud of for refining this far. This month won't be super chunky on actual albums themselves, as I spent a ton of my time on a kind of half vacation, and some time obsessing over non-music subjects, but hopefully it sates whatever monthly demand there is.... » Continue Reading

[M-Mu] Music Obsessions, August 2023

Category: Music

Well ! Last month's post seemed to do pretty well. Better than pretty much anything I've put out there so far, which makes me happy that there's still appeal in my musical ramblings. I have more to talk about this month than I was expecting, and I still can't get these out exactly on time, but hopefully quality and amount will make up for the delay. But enough being patient, let's jump right in...... » Continue Reading

[M-Mu] Music Obsessions, June, July 2023

Category: Music

...anyone still out there ? I'll take that silence as a maybe. Things have been pretty busy and emotional on my end, and I had to take something of a break from Spacehey to focus on more critical issues going on. I also just, broadly suck at time management, and got a ton of my time consumed by Minecraft. But, we'll go with a more sympathetic story. No more waiting, no delays, time for some music ... » Continue Reading

[M-Bl] Hiatus, and Return

Category: Blogging

So, I should probably actually say when I take hiatuses, because otherwise it just looks like I completely abandoned everything here. But the reality is, last month was oddly stressful and had a ton going on, mostly private things I wouldn't divulge publicly. I want to do a quick breakdown of where everything stands with my blog entries, as I haven't given up on any of them, and some need, context... » Continue Reading

[M-Bl] Ginger Chews

Category: Blogging

Burlington is a weird place to shop. There's one vaguely nearby where I live, and every couple months or so I go in to see what dumb snacks they have. It's almost never anything consistent, and never anything I've seen before, and no idea whatsoever where any of it comes from, or why. It's a stupid little anomaly of a clothing store that had a stupid candy I want to write about for a stupid reason... » Continue Reading

[PKJ] A Japanese Pokémon Adventure, Part III

Category: Games

Today, I told myself I was going to organize music once more, only to end up in the exact same trap that started all this. I started out today's progress by taking the time to theorycraft my planned team, along with begin to write in a notebook I specifically bought for practicing and doodling Japanese in. Something to look back on, you know ? Plus, we can make fun of my inevitable errors together... » Continue Reading

[M-Mu] Black Midi - Hellfire Scans

Category: Music

My last post I did covering physical music media scans seemed to do well, and they're a lot easier to write about, so I've felt a lot more willing to take leaps to get my hands on physical CDs as of late for albums quite special to me. Hellfire is absolutely 100% one of those albums that keeps being thrown on my music rotation, and has a lot of unique qualities to it I just can't seem to quit. Sca... » Continue Reading

[PKJ] A Japanese Pokémon Adventure, Part II

Category: Games

Coming back to this several days later, I can feel a lot more of my ability to parse hiragana and katakana cement itself, even if the words are still meaningless. I have a lot of ground to catch up on, and first up is a much needed badge... Good lord, 5 hours just to get to the 2nd gym is...actually reasonably slow given about half this time is split into study and writing this. But, the amount of... » Continue Reading

[PKJ] A Japanese Pokémon Adventure, Part I

Category: Games

One day, I woke up, and decided I would work on organizing some of my music backlog. This somehow devolved into almost an entire day of both studying Japanese, and playing Pokemon FireRed...in Japanese. Care to join me on a stupid adventure ? My only theory of what sparked this was a new Johnstone video that reminded me Pokemon existed. I've always had an odd...thing against emulating it, only pla... » Continue Reading

[M-Mu] Music Stems in Rock Band & Guitar Hero

Category: Music

Of everything I've collected over the past few years with regards to music, the most popular thing I have that still surprises me are the files for all Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks. It took me a while to understand why, but I realized what makes them so unique; They aren't just songs, they're stems I was absolutely one of those people that grew up having at least played a little bit of Guitar ... » Continue Reading
