[M-Bl] Hiatus, and Return

So, I should probably actually say when I take hiatuses, because otherwise it just looks like I completely abandoned everything here. But the reality is, last month was oddly stressful and had a ton going on, mostly private things I wouldn't divulge publicly. I want to do a quick breakdown of where everything stands with my blog entries, as I haven't given up on any of them, and some need, context

Music posts [M-Mu] will resume on a less consistent schedule. I'm going to do a monthly post talking about any of my music obsessions that month, which will also double as broad suggestions from me. Shorter music posts are admittedly, getting harder to write, as I start nitpicking perfection of them. I had one planned about Eminem, but it went
through about five rewrites and multiple delays before I decided to just not go for it.

Japanese posts [PKJ] actually took a hiatus not out of laziness, but because I've been diving much deeper into the language. It's quite depressing to hold such a negative stigma towards people who go to learn it for such a long time, only to realize "shit there's actually a lot of fascinating elements about this I don't really see done anywhere else". I've always been a language nerd at heart, but Japanese was one that I just assumed posers and weebs learned.

When I skim the community surrounding it, yeah there is a little of that, but when I pushed that aside, I saw a puzzle my brain wanted to tear into, and understand. Admittedly, this puzzle humbled the shit out of me, and I knew I couldn't just crack open a language like Japanese in a few weeks, or with just some 15 minute lessons. It's fascinating, but I had to take the time to sort out the tools and resources I'd learn from, and sink into a solid routine of 3 or so hours every morning, working on my Japanese.

But, the series is far from dead. I actually have some much grander plans for it, but I want to correct my mistakes and understand the language a little better before going forward.

Tetris [Tetr] is far from a dead subject either, summers are always just brutal to improve due to school being out, and rank deflation being in full force on Tetrio, which is always a disheartening time. I want to write out a multi-part series though that details a lot of vocabulary that I can just point back to whenever I talk Tetris with anyone, because it's such a strong passion of mine, and sometimes I don't have the brain capacity to explain things the way I want to. The other day, I went on a half an hour long side tangent about how Kanban Tetris redefined the Korean Tetris scene, and I'm struck with this feeling that I have things to say about the community nobody else will say but me.

Thank you for sticking with me regardless. My story is far from over, and I got a lot more things I want to put out into this world. Just need to manage myself better, and figure shit out as I go.
