[M-Bl] Ginger Chews

Burlington is a weird place to shop. There's one vaguely nearby where I live, and every couple months or so I go in to see what dumb snacks they have. It's almost never anything consistent, and never anything I've seen before, and no idea whatsoever where any of it comes from, or why. It's a stupid little anomaly of a clothing store that had a stupid candy I want to write about for a stupid reason

I fucking love lemon, and love ginger, and I had yet to see it in any kind of snack or candy form like this (I don't eat a lot of candy or general sweet things), and for some reason my mind really wanted to make a post about these stupid things. What caught my eye when I checked the ingredient label to see if it would kill me or not...



Cane sugar ! I knew I had to buy it then. Also, for anyone with a severe allergy, when they say that something is "manufactured in a facility" or "processed in a facility"", it doesn't mean anything, and I spent so much of my childhood not trying new things because I was terrified of that warning. Since a few years ago, when my allergy doctor person at the time told me she's been ignoring facility warnings for 30 years, and has the same allergies as me, I've just been ignoring it this entire time, and nothing's happened.



Weirdly...I didn't expect them to be so gummy, and powdered in anything. They have the texture of like...really hard caramel that's still malleable ? What made me write this post though was a moment that came into my head when I wanted to find words to try and describe it, and a moment from an UpIsNotJump video came into my head, about how none of the flavors blended. I'll quote.

• "I'm tasting every favor that's in there, individually, with no...blending."

...and that's, exactly how these taste to me. I look at the ingredients individually, and I can taste...yeah, every single thing listed on there, the lemon, honey, and ginger all kind of like...separate. This isn't bad, because those 3 flavors may as well be S tier to me, but it's such a strange texture-flavor mix. Nice container too, always a neat bonus
