The Purpose of this Blog

Category: Writing and Poetry

The Isle of Souls is a story that's been stuck in my head for years. It's about 4 college-age students who meet and befriend each other at a finishing school for power-born individuals, and are then forced to survive a feud between gods. I've finally decided to share it with the rest of the world, and I plan on publishing my first draft of The Isle chapter-by-chapter on Wattpad. The first chapte... » Continue Reading

Unfortunate News

Category: Life

I'm taking an indefinite hiatus. I apologize for this, as it's partially due to my own lack of planning and preparation. That being said, I could never have prepared for the current events. As of yesterday's vet visit, we have a 3 month old kitten that will need life-long care for a chronic congenital (aka since birth) condition, which is yet another change to our routine. As for me, I couldn't ha... » Continue Reading

An Inside Look into Chapter 1 (Part one)

Category: Writing and Poetry

DISCLAIMER: This is a concept I wanted to work on from the get-go, so you're still getting them. Every post at the moment will be connected to a published chapter, which is much less stressful than picking an unrelated/unintroduced topic. They'll also be brief, to hopefully avoid overloading either of us lol. The goal is to make these understandable whether or not you've actually read the chapter,... » Continue Reading

Introduction to the Author - please read to the end.

Category: Life

Hey everyone, I know I haven't been very active on here and I'll be honest, that might not improve, so I think the least I owe you is a proper introduction. To start, the last couple weeks have been full of problems and unwelcome changes; family members were sick and KiKi was having a rough week because of added stress in his environment, which led to me having more important things than posting l... » Continue Reading

H'etra - War and the birth of powers

Category: Writing and Poetry

There's three sides to this story - Haven's, humanity's, and the truth.   In Haven's story, the Celestials started a war out of spite.   In humanity's story, it was simply unpreventable; the unfortunate result of 2 races that had too many differences to come together peacefully.    I'm here to tell you the truth.   When mankind came seeking refuge, the natives weren't happy. Many were skeptical ... » Continue Reading

First Chapter is Up!

Category: Writing and Poetry

The first chapter of 'The Isle of Souls' has been officially published on Wattpad :)   https://www.wattpad.com/story/372736691-the-isle-of-souls It's currently being reviewed for publishing on Inkitt, and I'm not sure how well it will do on there as it's not a romance and will have no spicy scenes, but I figured it was still worth a shot. Thank you guys for y » Continue Reading

Welcome to H'Etra

Category: Writing and Poetry

H'etra, the world in which The Isle is set, is one of my oldest and favorite concepts. I'm continuously building her and discovering new areas and environments, but here's some of my favorites :) H'etra is a small planet, populated largely by purebloods, humans, and fae, with 2 Main continents at the moment. Helaeru (the larger) is in the West, Talon is in the East, and they're separated by an oce... » Continue Reading

PROLOGUE

Category: Writing and Poetry

“The funny thing about gods, is that they’re as forgetful as us. They’d probably forget they even were gods, if we weren’t here to remind them.”      He said this to me softly, barely heard over the humming of the machine he was attached to. And he laughed as he said it, though it was more like a cough. I remember begging for days, weeks; for anyone listening to let me take his place. At four... » Continue Reading
