Welcome to H'Etra

H'etra, the world in which The Isle is set, is one of my oldest and favorite concepts. I'm continuously building her and discovering new areas and environments, but here's some of my favorites :)

H'etra is a small planet, populated largely by purebloods, humans, and fae, with 2 Main continents at the moment. Helaeru (the larger) is in the West, Talon is in the East, and they're separated by an ocean network called Cialin. The Isle takes place on Helaeru, in a country called Draemoore, which is currently a monarchy.

To the North is the country Stromvesque, also a monarchy, and the two share a large body of water called Mirror Lake. The lake has many rumors and legends surrounding it, one of which is this:

If you look into the waters, it will show you anything you ask; a loved one, a memory, a future that never came to be. But the longer you look, the closer you are drawn towards the lake - eventually drowning in its depths.

Some history - when I first thought of H'etra, I'd recently learned about the eventual death of the sun. So, deep canon Lore is that humanity evacuated to H'etra when our solar system was destroyed, asking the native population for refuge. It was granted, though a large percentage were against the idea.

A Note: While I have made many parts of H'etra, including a tumultuous history and various cultures, she's still very much under construction and some aspects (including governments and geography) can and will change, just like our own world. I plan to make another post soon, elaborating on H'etra's history in particular, and I'll share more about her other aspects in the future as I myself put more research into her creation. I apologize for the briefness of this introduction, and thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely, StoryTeller ☆

I heard there’s a monarchy involved! Monarchy mentioned!! Is the monarchy a large plot point in the story? I’m a huge sucker reading about monarchies and their people in literature. Would love to hear more and look forward to the next post! I can also say for certainty I would drown in the Mirror Lake :')

Yess there is a monarchy! It's not a Huge plot point (mentioned very often) but it is a fundamental Behind-The-Scenes aspect. I'm not sure atm how much the story will go into it, so I'll put it on the list of possible future topics :)
And don't worry lmao, I probably would too tbh.
