This is Pineapple weed. It is native to where I live in western Washington and it is probably my favorite "weed" When you crush the yellow green flowers between your fingers, you are met with the unmistakable scent of pineapple! Today's adventure was with my dad, 8 year old son, and 5 year old daughter. We took bikes over the bridge, across the river, and stopped at the entrance to an old overgrown logging road. It steeply ascends up a dry, root riddled hillside with ferns and slough straight up the center.
