Today's adventure was with my dad, 8 year old son, and 5 year old daughter.
We took bikes over the bridge, across the river, and stopped at the entrance to an old overgrown logging road.
It steeply ascends up a dry, root riddled hillside with ferns and slough straight up the center. The edges are covered in branches and old fallen tree parts, making it more of a challenge to get our bikes up.
I spent my time running my bike up a portion of the hill, laying it down, then making one trip back to push the back of my dads bike trailer, then a second trip back to help my son get his bike over the trees. We continued like this for 3 more sections before coming to a steep decend where we eventually came to a dead end.
We spent about an hour on the way back home lolly gagging around and eating wild blackberies. There were lots of wild flowers and huckleberries berries too!
I live living in the pnw <3
