Kick-Ass 3

Category: Books and Stories

I am done with the Dave Lizewski era of Kick-Ass since I just finished Kick-Ass 3 and this book is pretty good. It's a real step up from Kick-Ass 2 and is a bit more back to basics. I don't think it's as edgy and mean as Kick-Ass and Kick-Ass 2 but this is still a Mark Millar book so it has it's moments. I also like that we're back to a standard street level mob story. I also like how this is a st... » Continue Reading

Kick-Ass 2

Category: Books and Stories

I just got done reading Kick-Ass 2 and I think this book is alright. It's not bad and it's still enjoyable but it has a lot of flaws. This book is super edgy and is very mean compared to the movie just like the first Kick-Ass book and it doesn't really work that well. There were some moments where I thought it kinda worked in the first one but here it all just really feels like shock value and I t... » Continue Reading

Kick-Ass 2 Prelude: Hit-Girl

Category: Books and Stories

I just finished reading Kick-Ass 2 Prelude: Hit-Girl and this comic is pretty good. The writing is a lot less edgy and juvenile compared to Kick-Ass. It dives a lot into Mindy's character about how her childhood with Big Daddy impacted her and how she struggles to just be a normal little girl because of it. A few things from this book were actually adapted in the Kick-Ass 2 movie such as Dave goin... » Continue Reading

Kick-Ass

Category: Books and Stories

One of my friends has been really hyperfixated on the Kick-Ass movies recently and this has now spread to me. I recently rewatched the Kick-Ass movies for the first time in years with them however this wasn't enough for me so I decided to check out the original comics especially since they have an actual ending. I'm only doing the original Dave Lizewski books along with the Hit-Girl book from Icon... » Continue Reading

Thrift Store Haul

Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping

So yesterday I was out all day and I stopped by Goodwill looking for clothes since I wanted to expand my wardrobe and I ended up getting a lot of stuff but I found 3 things that I really love and wanna show off since these are probably my best finds ever from Goodwill. Starting off, I got this Punisher shirt. I already own a Punisher shirt that I got for cosplay purposes which looks much more accu... » Continue Reading

The Windows 7 PC

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

So in my last blog  I talked about some old computers I found that my dad owned and how I checked to see if they work so I could explore them and archive any important data I found along the way and one of these computers was a PC running Windows 7 and it gave me a lot of issues initially however after spending some more time with it, I have made a few discoveries.  Yesterday I started inspecting » Continue Reading

Old Computers

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Recently I decided to try and get my dad's old PC running. Originally the idea came from nostalgia since I vaguely remember using that PC as a kid. I remember the exact setup with the monitor and the desk it was on although I couldn't remember if I used Windows XP or Windows Vista on it and I also didn't know what OS was installed but I knew it had to be one of those two. Another reason I wanted t... » Continue Reading

Circle K Comic Haul

Category: Books and Stories

So I found out on Twitter that Circle K sells comics at some locations and I went looking around for a location that sells them which did not take long at all since I unfortunately had no luck with the first location near me but the second location I went to near me sold them and I picked up a few titles that I thought I'd like. It's only DC stuff and a lot of it is old back issues and old first i... » Continue Reading

Dexter Down Under

Category: Books and Stories

I just finished reading Dexter Down Under and that was a good comic. It definitely felt a lot more grand and ambitious and it's definitely the most unique entry in the Dexter book universe. The scale was much higher with this one and it is a significant improvement over Marvel's Dexter. The art is still great and Mike Del Mundo killed it with the cover art once again and just like with Marvel's De... » Continue Reading

Marvel's Dexter

Category: Books and Stories

I just finished Marvel's Dexter and that comic was pretty alright. It wasn't as good as any of the books but it wasn't bad and I did enjoy it. Dalibor Talajic did great with the art and Mike Del Mundo absolutely killed it with the cover art. The covers for all of the issues are probably some of my all time favorite comic covers. I thought the villain was very solid. It did feel a little sanitized ... » Continue Reading

Dexter Is Dead

Category: Books and Stories

I just finished reading Dexter Is Dead and I really liked this book. I thought it was a pretty good ending and for the most part this book was everything I wish Dexter Season 8 was and I can't see any ending of the TV universe topping this. Dexter is at rock bottom and he has basically nothing. It's an ambiguous yet satisfying conclusion to the story that ties things up nicely while leaving unansw... » Continue Reading

Dexter's Final Cut

Category: Books and Stories

I just finished Dexter's Final Cut and this book is pretty good. It starts out kinda slow in my opinion and it doesn't appear to be as eventful as Double Dexter and for a large portion of the book it does feel a bit like a slog at times however after an Introduction which I honestly think could've probably been cut as it doesn't really serve much narrative purpose, Chapter 1 doesn't waste much tim... » Continue Reading
