So continuing our FFXI journey, we decided to unlock dancer! And it is maybe the most fun job we've played in any MMO ever!! It just has such a nice flow between putting up haste to build TP, spending TP to debuff and build stacks, spending stacks to get a ton more TP and buffs! and then hitting with strong weaponskills! The aesthetic is also surprisingly cool, look at Kemoner! » Continue Reading
God we love this game... Final Fantasy XI is such a unique experience, there's nothing quite like it anymore. Like we know older MMOs generally had the same design philosophy but none of them exist in the kind of state that retail FFXI is currently in. It's just so interesting and cool! It's almost more like an experience than a game sometimes, with how it's built world first gameplay second. Like... » Continue Reading
WE DID IT!!!!! The platforming on the moving blocks was really annoying and hard! Especially when you're getting shot at so much! We used the shoulder mounted plasma cannon to try to blow them up before we could even be aimed at at all and it worked! So we tried out AC1, 2, and 3 just now and they're really interesting games! The control scheme is like, purposely awful feeling and the starting mecha is just terrible to control in a way that makes the game really really difficult to get used to, and then all three games just throw you in with no tutorial! It's not as terrible as it sounds, we honestly really like it and the clunky feeling it gi... » Continue Reading
Rabbit & Steel is a cool bullet hell cooperative roguelike game that's in development! I love the dev's previous game Maiden & Spell (which is a bullet hell fighting game) and this is like if that game were coop! The demo is really really fun I love the design of the classes and I can't wait for more variation and new stages! The art is so cute too... and I like the dev's simple stories! Sorry thi... » Continue Reading
omg so I just finished reading this manhwa (Korean manga ^^) called The Golden Forest and it was super unique! The high fantasy setting was heavily inspired by Sumerian mythos rather than the European ones Americans are used to seeing or Asian ones you see in manga, manhwa, and manhua (for obvious reasons.) I really enjoyed the drama and sense of tragedy present from the start without being suffoc... » Continue Reading
