A few things I've learned traveling before 18.

Category: Travel and Places

So, I'm 17, and I've already been to four countries, lived in two, and now I'm just waiting (not so patiently lol) to move to Europe. And let me tell you something real: It hasn't always been easy, but it's so worth it. If there's one thing I've learned through all this, it's that with effort, self-love, clear goals, and determination, you can do so much. Sometimes it feels scary, overwhelming eve... » Continue Reading

You don't have to stay in the same place forever

Category: Life

If there's one thing I wish every young person knew, it's this. You're not stuck. You don't have to live your whole life in the same city, the same routine, around the same people, thinking that's all there is. Because there is so much more out there. Other countries. Other languages. Other cultures, food, traditions, stories, ways of living. The world is huge, and it's waiting for you. You just h... » Continue Reading

Being a foreigner in another country isn't as easy as people think

Category: Travel and Places

A lot of people romanticize the idea of moving to another country- like it's this big exciting adventure where everything is better. And sure, there are BEAUTIFULL moments... but there's also a really  hard side that people don't talk about enough: What it's actually like to be a foreigner. I've seen seen and lived it firsthand, especially with older people. Many of them don't speak the language, ... » Continue Reading

It breaks my heart every time.

Category: Life

There's something that just crushed me deep inside every time I see it... people begging on the street-- specially when they're with their kids. Like the other day I saw a woman sitting on the sidewalk, holding a sign, her little kid curled up next to her trying to nap in the noise and the cold. And I just stood there, frozen, feeling this awful mix of sadness, guilt, and helplessness. I gave them... » Continue Reading

(Pt.2) Six months of Guilt-trips and exhaustion.

Category: Romance and Relationships

And yeahh.. I ended it. It was a six-month-long relationship, and honestly? I was exhausted. Emotionally, mentally, even physically. Not because we fought all the timr (we didn't), but because I was constantly carrying his feelings on top of my own. Every day felt like walking on a tightrope just to keep him from falling apart. He'd guilt-trip me over the thiniest things: Taking too long to reply ... » Continue Reading

I just wanted ONE day with my friends, now I'm the villain??

Category: Romance and Relationships

Okay so let me tell you something that actually happened because I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I was dating this guy who at first seemed super sweet and ''in touch with his emotions,'' y'know?? But then it turned into something so draining and manipulative and I didn't even realize until I was in the middle of it. So here's what went down: We'd been spending literaly EVERY single day... » Continue Reading

When Love starts to feel like a full-time job.

Category: Romance and Relationships

Okay sooo can we please talk about manipulative relationships?? Especially when a guy starts depending way too much emotionally on his girlfriend and it stops being cute and starts being exhausting. Like at first it's all ''you're the only one who understands me'' and ''I don't know what I'd do without you'' and yeah sure, it feels like special. But then it turns to ''if you don't answer right awa... » Continue Reading

Don't make me choose between friendsssss

Category: Life

Okay, so let's talk about something that seriosuly sucks: When a friend tells you to choose between them and someone else they don't like. Like... why do people do that?? I get it, maybe you had drama with someone, maybe they rubbed you the wrong way. Fine. But if I haven't had a problem with them and they've been nothing but nice to me, why are you making it a ME problem??? I hate being put in th... » Continue Reading

Why do some people think they're perfect??

Category: Life

Okay I have to get this off my chest because it's been driving me INSANE lately. Why is it that some people are so quick to pint out everyone else's mistakes, but completely ignore their own?? Like, they'll act like the behavior police, judging everyone left and right, but the second they mess up?? Silence. Crickets. Not even a ''my bad.''  I know someone like this and it's actually exhausting. If... » Continue Reading
