Blogs (and the silent soapbox).

Category: Life

I much like the idea of blogs. It harkens way back to the early internet - everyone had a blog, or a dumb website for their cat. It was a time of casting lines into the deep without hoping for a fish. Travel blogs, foodie sites, and personal ramblings were as common as hookers without teeth.  It was a time when people said anything and everything they wanted on the internet.  It's clear that the i... » Continue Reading

I’m reaching my finals for this term of college, and I’ve found myself drawing away from others more than I thought. Not out of academic stress, and especially not out of some kind » Continue Reading

The Sky Is Falling!

Category: Life

I have a pretty personal love for the later months, when daylight wanes and temperatures drop. Outside of its aesthetic wins, I find it easier to physically exist in colder weather. July 4th (and other things I hate).

Category: Life

As I'm writing this, the sky is falling. I pretty uniquely dislike fireworks - a disdain brought on by a single question: why do we light fireworks nationwide in the hottest, driest, and most fire-prone time of year?  Because we're independent! We're no longer a colony! We wrote a constitution and stuck with it until it'll eat our country alive!  If you're reading this blog and you know me from ou... » Continue Reading

Moving, reflection, and material things.

I was mostly just shocked when I first saw my empty childhood home.  It was always a shitbox, and it only got worse over time, but the years of living in it blinded me to just how bad it was. I took a form of solace in seeing that I wasn't imagining the cracked walls and sinking floor. It was just as bad as I thought it was. It gave me a strange kind of comfort to realize that. Now, it's on a path... » Continue Reading
