zip100 usb

Category: Blogging

at last i got my zip100 usb drive now i have all the changes i made to my code on BeOS uploaded to my git repository. i also tested it on my iMac. it compiles and runs fine. up next i'll need to add more preprocessor branches for it to optionally run without any renderers, and to compile with SDL1.2 instead of SDL2 ( this will make my code even more portable to a far greater number of platforms. i... » Continue Reading

re: some code i'm writing for an sdl application

Category: Blogging

a mr. waddlesplash of the haiku project was kind enough to help me find a problem with my code for an SDL game that i'm writing. i think i'm still a long way even from the point where i'd be far enough in the game's development process for it to even have a debugging screen like the kind that would be accessible on any original copy of mario 64 or ocarina of time through a gameshark, but i'm inchi... » Continue Reading

re: an idiot about my blog post on isp’s

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

for posterity’s sake i’m preserving the quote: “I've worked at 4 different ISPs, this idea that they make a profit by selling info is wildly incorrect. ISPs on the inside are quite blue collar, this is from small ISPs like your local ISP that only has a few thousand customers, to giant corporations like TWC/Spectrum. Government subsidies and monthly subscriber payments are how they make their mone... » Continue Reading

re: twitter and internet

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

i’m thinking maybe i should direct some of my mutuals on twitter to my account here on spacehey in case twitter goes bankrupt and gets shutdown. i heard twitter is struggling to pull together ad revenue for enough profit and that that youtube is struggling to do the same. i read on wikipedia that myspace also met that same challenge before its decline. also that rupert murdoch struggled to get his... » Continue Reading

new article: "trans exclusion does harm against women"

Category: News and Politics

this is a new article describing the ways that terfs exclude and use degrading language against women who aren't anti-trans. CONTENT WARNING: the following article deploys the t-slur in its descriptions of the transphobic rhetoric of the terfs, the transphobia and the slurs they use are embedded in their beliefs, and my writing aims to make a full display of their hatred. » Continue Reading
