The concept of a soul contract. What occurred before my incarnation?

Category: Dreams and the Supernatural

I heard a friend mention something about a soul contact to me the other day. The concept of a soul, past lives, and reincarnation and so forth is nothing new to me but for whatever reason I haven't thought about that aspect of it too much. I knew about how we tend to stick with soul groups and pick familiar physical characteristics. Even past life trauma can carry over into the next life with vari... » Continue Reading

Get out of here with that chicken little stuff! "The sky is falling!" Oh stop it!

Category: Life

Why do people give energy to doomsday prophesies? I've lost count of how many fake prophets I've come across. 2012 is the end of the world...oh no wait I mean 2013...or no um 2014. "It's in the bible just read it!" Um no the bible isn't the be all, end all, it was written by people interpreting the will of God not God himself. This is one reason why I am not a christian. Was Jesus real? Was there ... » Continue Reading

I think I had a previous life on another planet as an advanced being. My mind has empty slots where transcendental emotions of pure bliss should be.

Category: Dreams and the Supernatural

I've written about this before to an extent. It just seems like my expectations are too high for everything. The feelings of joy, happiness and pleasure just seem to fall short of what my mind is telling me they should be like. I feel like I've been robbed of emotions and abilities that I once had. I can feel extreme misery, pain, anxiety, sadness, etc but where is the flip side? It seems off bala... » Continue Reading

What lies ahead at the end of the tunnel. I was lead here by the heron. A cryptic messenger from the universe.

Category: Life

These cryptic messengers keep appearing in front of me nearly every day. With each sub-sequential appearance erasing doubt that this is a mere coincidence. I've never witnessed such a thing quite like this in my entire life. The mystery provokes such wonder and I am forever curious. Today must be the fifth time that I've seen these beautiful birds in the last week and a half. From what I read ther... » Continue Reading

Those who truly need to hear words of wisdom will typically ignore it.

Category: Life

I feel like part of my mission on this planet is to share wisdom and encouragement whenever I can. A lot of the time the same message can be applied as a reminder to myself as well. We all have our struggles and that's part of the experience. If I can help just one person it will make a difference but they will only listen when they are ready. Otherwise it falls upon deaf ears. I'm not sure if I'v... » Continue Reading

The difference between being "cool" and "hip" as I see it.

Category: Life

I was just thinking today that I am pretty damn cool despite people making me think that I'm not throughout my life. It's like I've been conditioned to be so humble to the point that it morphs into self depreciation. I don't need mass approval to justify thinking that I'm one of the coolest people on the planet. As long as it doesn't mutate into narcissism. The key is balance, realizing your self ... » Continue Reading

In this society we're surrounded by junk peddlers from every corner that want to infiltrate your mind. Conform and you get your cheese.

Category: Life

It brings to mind the junk lady from the movie Labyrinth. First thing I get when I turn on the radio is major junk peddling. Basically: "conform, this is normal and okay, everyone is doing it. If you participate like a good lab rat you get your cheese." A clever wolf herding the sheep into his lair. People in my life continue peer pressuring me but I will continue to fight back and stand my ground... » Continue Reading

Questioning acoustic guitars standard factory setup, etc. Easier to play equals more likely to sell.

Category: Music

So I've been playing guitar for about 26 years and in my experience many acoustic guitars come off of the rack with high action and cable thick strings. I see no logical explanation why this has to be. As long as the frets are leveled and the neck isn't bowed they should be able to accommodate low action with no problem and 10-47 gauge strings. I would tend to think it would make it a lot easier f... » Continue Reading

Everything seems better in the subconscious. I am a rarity and I'm not speaking in an egotistical manner. I'm speaking the truth.

Category: Dreams and the Supernatural

I've been given glimpses of the higher consciousness and what true happiness and love is. This reality seems like hell in comparison and I haven't received those feelings here at least for a very long time. I'm struggling to come to terms with this. I suppose I can look at it as a gift when I receive these dreams or downloads. Perhaps it's a sign to me that I am capable of feeling those emotions, ... » Continue Reading

Steam tractors, mudpuppies and the metallic cacophony beyond the bamboo hillside (abnormal creative writing approach #2)

Category: Writing and Poetry

The guideline for the story: It's a rainy, cloudy and fairly quiet day. There's railroad tracks with occasional passing trains, a rooster that crows out down the block and there's metallic chiming going on around the building in the background past the greenery. Picture included down below like in part 1. Personally I find this approach much more interesting, unpredictable and amusing. What is an ... » Continue Reading

An Ogre in the machine shop (normal creative writing approach #1)

Category: Writing and Poetry

The guideline for the story: It's a rainy, cloudy and fairly quiet day. There's railroad tracks with occasional passing trains, a rooster that crows out down the block and there's metallic chiming going on around the building in the background past the greenery. Picture included down below. To me this is approach is pretty conventional with nothing too unpredictable.  As he heard the rooster crow ... » Continue Reading
