hi there! welcome to my waka directory :-)
the term 'waka' refers to the form of poetry primarily composed by classical japanese authors. it includes both tanka and haiku, the styles in which I write most of my poems- and now that a few of them have been published on my blog, I've decided to consolidate their access points into this post for ease of blog navigation.
they are listed in order of publication, with the newest at the top, and may be accessed by their respective links.

These are beautiful! But me reading the translation alone doesn't cut it...that reminds me, I need to learn Japanese!

if anything, my english translations are more interesting than the japanese components- I get a little creative to convey my intended message in an interesting and heartfelt way. meanwhile my technical abilities in japanese aren't yet good enough to produce an interesting work on their own, methinks... regardless, I'm really grateful for your support, and I hope you'll enjoy my work as I develop my skills! ^^
