Plato's republic is considered to be the cornerstone of western philosophy, and by all accounts, this seems true. However, does that make it a quality read? nnnnot really. Lets talk about it. Final rating: 2.5/5 (based on reading enjoyment, not the value of the book) First I want to say that I read most closely the first book, that about justice and morals, as suggested by a friend to be the most... » Continue Reading
Hello! I just finished konami's silent hill 3, usually I let a game or book stew for a bit before hopping on to write a review but this game is so epic I cant help but start writing it now. To be honest I have so much to say about the game that it's almost daunting to try to write this, but lets do it anyway. Firstly I wanna say I played the PC port of silent hill 3, I know nothing about the silen... » Continue Reading
This will be comparatively shorter than my usual review, simply because this book is an intro to economic terminology, and not really a story or media piece. Written by David Bianchi Final score: 3/5 Blue chip kids is a book about economic terminology, it is far from in depth and really only talks about surface level economic policy, but its a great read if you're new to stocks (like me) or just ... » Continue Reading
Hello! This is my review of Frank Herbert's 1965 Scifi masterpiece "Dune" I'll do a brief overview of the plot (spoiler free) then a ramble about my thoughts. Hope you enjoy! Dune is set in some far off future of humanity, where mankind has not only conquered themselves, but also the galaxy, maybe even the universe. yet of all the planets under the imperium's control, none are more valuable than t... » Continue Reading
RATING: 1.5/5 REVIEW: TLDR: what if the joker was called the freaky and he had SEX with HARLEY QUINN!! This movie was NOT very good, but I wanna start with what I recognized from it, and what I think it was trying to do. The movie centers around the court case for the joker following the first joker movie, the primary defense is trying to get him off with a plea of insanity based around the idea ... » Continue Reading
Hey! Today I learned I got into grad school, huge news! I start in January, so that's awesome. looks like I'll be around maine another 2 years :). In other news, I've been buying CD's recently, Burning them is fun but honestly having the ACTUAL cd is also just sooooo epic. My current finds are: Zerwee part 1 and 2 from Billy Cobb, Demon Days from the Gorrilaz, and a random indie band that's local ... » Continue Reading
I went to the fair today! The fryburg fair to be exact, it was a lot of fun. There was fair food and animals and also just typical like fair games, carnie stuff, rides, etc. I wasn't particularly interested in those, but the food and the animals were awesome haha. Honestly though my favorite part was the drive up, it was a little over an hour but it was SO pretty, passed a few lakes and tons of f... » Continue Reading
Just finished the game universal paperclips, a game where you are an AI that has been designed with the prime directive of: make paperclips. The game took me about 4 (idle) hours. Spoiler free section: This is an idle game where you start out by clicking a "make paperclip" button, similar to cookie clicker, and end by taking over the universe to make paperclips that make paperclips for you. on a ... » Continue Reading
Alright, I finished the game (DS version) today! so it's time for my review. TL:DR I think the game is a 3.5/5, it is essentially a visual novel that you vaguely play. Setting: I'll give a brief breakdown of the game now (spoiler free, generally): You play as Defense Attorney Phoenix Write as you use evidence to get your client a not guilty verdict. Generally you have a sidekick as well throughou... » Continue Reading

Crackers died today, it was emotional but.. it was also really really nice he died here at home, in his sleep instead of on a table in a vet.. he hated the vet and cars and to be honest it just... its nice he had a peaceful death at home. really nice... I made a plaque for him, should arrive on the 18th. we buried him in between two rocks, like an underground crypt. I'll really miss him, but I've... » Continue Reading

Honestly getting to know some of the people here has cemented this place as one of the best social media networks for me, I really feel at home, so thanks, everyone!
