Five Films I Saw at the Toronto International Film Festival

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

With the festival closing out tonight, now's as good a time as any to bring up that I went to the Toronto International Film Festival! I'm not going to talk about every film I saw (if you want to know about all of them, my ranking is here  and you should find reviews if you dig deep enough), but there's a few I definitely want to bring attention to. I'm going to the Toronto International Film Festival

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Sorry about kinda abandoning SpaceHey for a bit. A major reason I was adamant about using SpaceHey was the fact that Twitter was becoming unusable for me in my preferred ways of using it. Well, circumstances made my attempt to move on from Twitter a poorly-timed one, my mobile app became usable again (albeit barely), and I installed OldTweetdeck so I'm no longer in any rush to run away. That plus ... » Continue Reading

Should I add a song to my profile

Category: SpaceHey

Haven't made a post in a while, figured now was as good a time as any to make one. Had to update my profile because the site with the s-CRY-ed background died. I'm debating on whether or not to add a song to my profile. I don't have one yet because I personally am not really a fan of clicking on a profile and having music start blaring. But that's just a personal preference and I'm wondering if ev... » Continue Reading

Movie Monday: Three Billboards and Brigsby Bear

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

I initially had trouble deciding on which of these two movies I should do for this week's Movie Monday. Both are films I saw in theaters when I was 17 that left a ginormous impression on me and became two of my top 10 favorite movies ever. Then I realized "wait, that's the whole point of Movie Monday, to talk about multiple movies in one blog post!" So here I am. First, let's talk about Three Bill... » Continue Reading

I've never bought a movie digital only

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

It was recently announced that Disney will no longer make physical media releases in Australia . Now as dire as this sounds, according to the article, Australian physical media is really bad sales wise. The few Australians still collecting physical media will probably be better off importing. But what insp » Continue Reading

Movie Monday: The Truman Show

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Going to try something out called Movie Monday where I pick some movies that I like and try to recommend them to the best of my ability. I want to do 3 movies a week because there's no way I'm going to do this long enough to justify only one movie a week, but these take a lot more energy to make than I thought. So I'll just have the rules fluctuate. The first movie I'm doing is The Truman Show. » Continue Reading

Barbenheimer: Final Thoughts

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Over these past two days I experienced the worldwide phenomenon that is Barbenheimer. I watched Barbie with my dad and Oppenheimer with my mom. Was the meme worth it? Yeah, sure I'd say so. But at the same time I think it's important to treat the two movies individually rather than as one combined experience. With that being said, I'm basically going to use this blog post to encapsulate my feeling... » Continue Reading

Oppenheimer is Christopher Nolan's best movie

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Been very busy online today but Oppenheimer is Christopher Nolan's best movie by a long shot. It's a miracle that Nolan was able to make a 3 hour very dialogue heavy film that was not boring in the slightest. It's also very fast paced, so if you're afraid of it because you have ADHD, I think you'll end up enjoying it in the end. Tomorrow, or just some time later, I'll do a blog post about my thoug... » Continue Reading

Barbie is one of the best movies of the year so far

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

I expected a good movie for sure but I did NOT expect Barbie to be one of the best movies of the year so far. It was hilariously goofy in a way that fits what it's going for to a tee. This is a film that I hope becomes a classic. FULL REVIEW » Continue Reading

HollyGeddon: Data Reporting

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Okay so major update regarding HollyGeddon (which is what I'm calling the simultaneous strikes of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA that's causing no movies or series to get made or promoted), I didn't have this when I made my first HollyGeddon post but I now have the SAG-AFTRA list of proposals and where they were at when they » Continue Reading

Well, they aren't selling it to me, so why should they care?

Category: Games

Saw a recent video from The Completionist called  Companies Don't Want You Playing Classic Games , and the video is about sharing a new study that found that 87% of games made before 2010 are commercially unavailable. By "commercially unavailable" they mean that the remaining 13% includes digital ports and virtual console and all its variants. That number sounds bad, yes, but keep in mind that tha... » Continue Reading

HollyGeddon

Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Word of caution before I start: if you don't know what writers, actors, TV networks, or scripts/screenplays are, then this blog post will be a hard read and you're going to get either bored or confused very fast. I'm just going to assume you know what those are. Yesterday, the Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) have joined the Writers Guild of Ameri... » Continue Reading
