My dad's got some health issues and needs a little supervision and help during recovery, so I drove from Seattle to the inland empire, CA. Left Sunday morning at about 10 am, and drove out of Washington, through Oregon, and stopped at Redding because it's about the halfway point. I have glasses that I don't wear all the time, but they help when I do. Anyway, I noticed the arm getting a bit wobbly, so I bought one of those little eyeglass repair kits. Sit down with it and survey the situation: 4 screws, a little rubber washer thing that's a starter for the screw, a screwdriver, and a magnifying glass. Seems simple enough, so let's do this. Went to a park near here, to see a lighthouse. Kind of a long walk, but I wasn't aware that you could just drive relatively close to it. So I started walking back in the opposite direction, kind of in a V shape with the lighthouse being the connecting point. My dad's surgery and recovery went well. My drive from So Cal to Seattle was relatively smooth and without incident. The big audit at work finally happened, and we got 100%.
