I just drove 1204 miles.

My dad's got some health issues and needs a little supervision and help during recovery, so I drove from Seattle to the inland empire, CA. Left Sunday morning at about 10 am, and drove out of Washington, through Oregon, and stopped at Redding because it's about the halfway point. Stayed in a motel for a few hours, then left Redding at about 2:30 am and made it home at 12:30 pm. Not a bad travel time overall, but holy hell is it boring riding in a car by yourself down the 5 freeway for hours on end.

Now I'm here and waiting for him to be released from the hospital, so it's a free evening to get situated and do noisy stuff like laundry now, and not disturb his rest later. All I have to go on is brief texts explaining things, so I'm not even really sure what to expect. It's an adventure, I guess. But for now, I'm gonna go lay down and sleeeeeeep.
