Paul Rudd and the devious plan of regression. (The Real Costs of Games #4)

Category: Games

By the way, we shouldn't have any beef against this guy. The commercial was a fun watch until I decided to think about it a bit more. Don't go to tweetir and bully them because they helped with this campaign. » Continue Reading

The Real Costs of Games. 2nd Edition.

Category: Games

Before Skipping Ahead. Most people shouldn't be thinking about what games to buy. Games are even better when reality doesn't come to bother your enjoyment of them. They should simply be there to bring you a good time or make life better. If you believe this, share this series with someone who does think about what games to buy so they can recommend good games for you. After that, never read a post... » Continue Reading

Alright then. There is no way I can not talk about the direct at this point. Regardless of if you or I were to get anything from here or not, this will have impacts on how we all play games. Everhood 2 is uhhh. (Games Playing Right Now #9)

Category: Games

I thought Everhood 2 was either gonna be "simply play it because it's good" or talking about some things the game does that's interesting. Instead I got complicated feelings and decisive public opinions on what is a » Continue Reading

Hedge Crusher. Shower Thought.

Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

If I hedged bets against a company and then become the biggest contributor to it's downfall/bankruptcy, would that mean I committed insider trading? It's a weird question that I had when thinking about hedge funding. Hedge funds simplified are betting on the failure of a project, share, or whatnot. If what you get for winning is money, wouldn't that mean that you also reduced the amount of places ... » Continue Reading

Wait, why do we have to respect the TF2 inventory system?

Category: Games

Context: The TF2 SDK has arrived! Also this is technically political as well so go into this knowing I am presenting my vision of the world. Quote from Team Fortress 2 Mods FAQ regarding distributing the TF2 SDK: Workshop contributors and players both have a lot of investment in their items, and that is something we want to continue to respect. We won't be allowing TF2 mo » Continue Reading

Why haven't I dedicated a post to Kart yet? (Games Playing Right Now #8)

Keeping this one simple besides the bulletin mirror. SRB2Kart and Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers are my favorite multiplayer games. (Well, maybe not Ring Racers yet as I haven't had a stable multiplayer experience yet. That might » Continue Reading

[PSA] Bewary of online games security wise.

Category: Games

! Keep in mind I ain't an expert on security in software and games. There are defiantly people who can better explain this than I can. Recently, a video came up claiming an RCE exploit in Marvel Rivals . Although I ain't good enough to sift through and figure out if it's as severe as the claim, I did understand enough that I should talk about the issues with online game security in case some » Continue Reading

Reminds me of Dragon Ball, but I'm not strong like Goku. (Games playing right now #7)

I doubt anyone is gonna guess what game I'm referring to with this one. My friend and I started our own Vintage Story worlds to try something new and eventually run a proper online server to play with the rest of our friends on. » Continue Reading

Discovering RSS as a way to follow websites and channels.

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Apparently, we had this for years and it somehow fell out of favor. RSS is a simple file on a web server that lists a sites latest posts and can be read by an app to follow the site for new posts. Today, you can use this to follow individual YT channels, web comics, blogs including SpaceHey blogs believe it or not, and pretty much anything that serves RSS feeds. You just need a reader to occasiona... » Continue Reading
