They can hold up your pants sure, but it's not very effective. Belts are for utility. Like a tool belt or a military belt. They're not for holding up your pants. So sad I had to get rid of a great pair of pants. Super big stain on my pants I did all the things I could do. Identified the stain as a oily organic stain and then use the appropriate method which is as follows. I sprayed the stain with a solution of 50% water 50% vinegar and then blotted that.I applied Zote soap flakes and scrubbed gently. Then another vinegar solution spray and blot.
