What has this site become.
To get to the top of blogs, you either have to be dropping som big spacehey lore shit or make rage bait titles. Or beg people for kudos to a point where itās fucking annoying.
This isnāt what spacehey was made for. This isnāt what BLOGS were made for.
What happened to the spacehey I joined 8 months ago where you could blog about something silly or lighthearted and find people with a similar interest as you?
What happened to having poetry posts that even just got 20 kudos on the front page? What happened to people just being creative or rambling about things they like and having meaningful conversations with people over things they have in common?
Now itās just a big fight between āReALā old web users and the āsensitive new gen kidsā.

SO MANY PEOPLE ARE LEAVING BC THIS IS LITERALLY TURNING INTO A TWITTERISH HELLHOLE.
thereās new drama every day. theres people doxxing people. theres neonazis, thereās people sending gore and pornography to people in IMs. And they all just say āwell youāre too sensitive!!āĀ
No. People arenāt too sensitive. And itās completely ok for them to express their shock or distaste for that media.
It doesnāt make you cool to be āedgyā and ādeal with itā. Not everyone is such a big edgelord as you.Ā
And if youāre the one sending it, tbh youāre not helping the site go back to āold webā.
Youāre making it worse and causing more people to get shocked and continue posting that shit. Itās a vicious circle.
Or, other people fall for obvious ragebait, further boosting negative posts to the top of blogs.
You arenāt helping either. If you want them to stop, if you want the drama to end and for people to just leave you alone, stop interacting with ragebait blogs.
I get that most of you are young children who act on impulse when you see something that upsets you here. But honestly, I donāt know how to put this in other words, but you have to face it, swallow it, block, and move on.
Everyoneās said it, and itās true. Donāt feed trolls. If you donāt feed them, theyāll be less inclined to post, and if you block, then they wonāt bug you.Ā
Also, instead of using blogs to complain or post call-outs, do that in bulletins instead. Blogs are for your INTERESTS. Thereās TONS of blog categories there for a reason. And none of those categories include ādramaā or āragebaitā.
This is the downfall of this website and honestly, I donāt know what will save it.
If you donāt like someone or something,Ā FUCKING BLOCK THEM. AND MOVE. ON. ITS GENUINELY NOT THAT HARD.

No need to make a bigass blog about it. At most, just make a bulletin or a PRIVATE, LINK ONLY BLOG THAT DOESNT SHOW UP ON THE BLOG PAGE!
If youāve had enough of someone, block them.Ā
If thereās gore in their profile, block them and report them. Said something mean to you? Block them. Groomed you? Block and report them and make a post to your friends.
Is ācringeā to you? Block them. Is āfaking mental disordersā? Block them. Is ātoo sensitiveā for you? Block them. No need to point and laugh at a kid whos trying to navigate the internet in one of the mustiest corners of the web.
Just block them.
Itās not that hard.

idk what ur yapping about because 8 months ago spacehey was still just a cesspit. it was a cesspit even 2 years ago when i joined! just pick your circles wisely and ignore whatever's at the top of the blog page. drama will always get more attention than positive stuff
this tbh , when i first joined about 3/4 years ago it was a little more tame but people described in this post still existed to a significant degree

I signed up here because I thought this site would be very good for my chatty personality, I like to chat about everything..And I was told that many people here like to raise all sorts of topics, but when I saw that most blogs were filled with "dramas", the desire fell..I just recently returned here again, honestly, I hope people will come to their senses soon and no one will care about trolls (I'm a pretty sensitive person ":(. )

Yeah, Iām kinda surprised that people donāt use the block button more. I mean, Iāve only recently started using it, but still, I currently have 76 people blocked on here.
(To be fair, most of them are accounts from businesses, but a few are actually people I just donāt like/donāt agree with some beliefs of)

While people are allowed to express their discomfort in viewing gore and innapropriate content shown to them without consent, the block and report button exists! Theres the ability to send in screenshots aswell. USE CATBOX, ABUSE THE BLOCK button. I'm not saying it's sensitive that people are adverse to gore, but it IS sensitive to complain whilst not doing anything to report it.
Also this blog is formatted horribly it feels so rushed if you're trying to be one of those "good-hearted top blog posters"

Love this blog and agree with everything you said, I had to unfriend a mutual of mine who made a whole bulletin basically expressing his support to some weirdo who victim blamed underage harassment victims and calling the said abuse of minors "old internet culture" or whatever and mind you the mutual in question was 30 something like be very fr with me rn!
