My math teacher sucks

So, yeah, I'll be ranting here about my math teacher. To get started, in september (the beginning of the school year) he was on sick leave for 1 month. So, I didn't have maths for 1 month straight, so we are behind in the material.  When he finnally showed up he said "I know I was on sick leave for 1 month, but I won't teach the material faster."  Guess what happened next week? How do people study?

So, yeah, I have this problem and I don't think people will answer but I'll post anyways. I've had an issue with studying since 1st grade. The only times I studied, were when my parents forced me. But my grades were awesome in elementary since it was easy. In 5th grade, my grades started to fall.
