Why do people like the Sonic movies (besides fixation)

Alrighty, complaining time. I’ll try not to get too rant-y, but someone explain why the Sonic movies are so highly praised, without letting trends and/or fixation taint your opinion. Because I believe that the majority of the latest one’s high ratings is because of biased young people.
