creepy pasta fandom?? dos and donts pls

I'm not big in fandom spaces. I have not a clue what classifies someone as a "real" or "fake" fan but i know there is a distinction. Especially with creepy pasta there are so many stories and media based around it what is the majority decided "cannon"?
