Real Robots vs. Super Robots

In some of the spaces I hang out to look at cool mechs/mechas and robots I've noticed some people are very vocally against real robots. Every time I see this I feel a pain almost like I'm personally attacked because some of my favorite mechs/mechas and robots fall into the real robot category.
