Real Robots vs. Super Robots

In some of the spaces I hang out to look at cool mechs/mechas and robots I've noticed some people are very vocally against real robots. Every time I see this I feel a pain almost like I'm personally attacked because some of my favorite mechs/mechas and robots fall into the real robot category. Generally I'm not a fan of super robots, but I don't put them down for it! To me, their "feats of strength" are all meaningless as fictional things and generally I think they usually look too much like just a big guy in a suit. But I understand other people like that would never put someone's work down based solely on my preferences. It just hurts seeing the already niche mechs/mechas and robots enjoyer community attacking it's own like this...
