Cool factoid: You can still use 2005 Urban Dictionary

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Hey there everyone! Thought I'd share this neat little discovery with y'all. Normally the internet archive is full of 404 errors, but shockingly not Urban Dictionary. I searched everyword I could think of from "Ardvark", to "Apollo 13", to "Cowboy" and they all loaded perfectly. Now occasionally it will switch layouts (Some were archived in 2008 for example), but it typically works great!  My redi... » Continue Reading

13th Old Web Project: Google Classic (For use with oldgoogle.neocities.org/2010)

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Hello there everyone. I have created another classic userstyle, this time one which near perfectly replicates 2002 Google Search. I realized that instead of the ever changing Google search enginge, oldgoogle would be better to modify. They do not have a 2002 engine, and their 2009 engine does not support different types of search. By modifying their 2010 search you can have a fully interactable cl... » Continue Reading

12th Old Web Project: Youtube Uploader Classic

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Bit of a different one! I originally wanted to create a classic theme for the entirety of youtube, however I recently gained access to the yt2009 frontend closed beta. After playing around with it for around a month, I realized there is no need to use youtube.com ever again. It is that accurate, and has several other goodies which will make it really neat when it releases for real. Unfortunately, ... » Continue Reading

11th Old Web Project: Google Mail Classic

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Smallest theme I've ever done, but it's something. Brings back the old logo, removes the modern apps handle, and brings back the old font-family. HTML Gmail is nearly identical to 2004 Gmail anyways so there isn't much of a need for an expansive classic theme. I know there is a tampermonkey theme which already accomplishes this, however it takes a second to load the logo which is a tiny bit frustr... » Continue Reading

Tenth Old Web Project: Reddit Classic

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Hello there everyone. I have created a new userstyle for the forum "Reddit" which reverts it back to 2006. It also removes its' addictive scrolling features. Feel free to give it a shot. Remember to go into preferences and disable "Allow subreddits to use custom CSS", and also note that you must go to the URL "Reddit.com/submit" to create a post. Should go without saying, but remember to enable "O... » Continue Reading

Ninth Old Web Project: Deviantart Classic

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

I'm a slightly disappointed with how this one turned out, but it's moreso the fault of DeviantART than my lack of persistence. For some reason the classes on the header changes throughout the different pages accessed! Frustrated the heck out of me, but I think I got it working somewhat decent with the old header. Also, be sure to be logged in with the "Green" theme applied, as that's the only way ... » Continue Reading

Eighth Old Web Project: GameFAQs Classic, and Fanfiction.Net Classic 2.0

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Hey there everyone. If anyone is reading I hope you have a Lord-blessed day. I am extremely happy for this latest project (GameFAQs Classic), because it opens the door to hundreds of other themes (Which is displayed in Fanfiction.Net Classic 2.0). By using a before:body pseudo element, and hand realigning the HTML Elements I can fully bring back classic portions of web pages! Expect me to go back ... » Continue Reading

Seventh Old Web Project: ESPN Classic

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

My favorite theme I have created thus far! ESPN (The Worldwide Leader in Sports) is my most used website on the internet, and so I decided that it would be apt for me to create a userstyle for it. It is extremely accurate to 2009-2014 ESPN (Which I was incredibley shocked about) at least on the homepage/article pages featuring the classic banners and buttons. It utilizes a pseudo element to fully ... » Continue Reading

Sixth Old Web Project: Fanfiction.Net Classic

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Hey there everyone. Fanfiction.Net is not a website which I typically use currently, but I did when I was in middle school, and as such really miss the website's 2007 layout (Even though it is somewhat similar to the modern design). I am thankful to say I got near 100 percent identical to the original 2007 website. My favorite part of this theme is the homepage which utilizes a 'pseudo  element' t... » Continue Reading

Fifth Old Web Project: Amazon Classic

Category: Web, HTML, Tech

I lied in my last post! I decided Amazon had a bigger install base than DeviantArt, and therefore would be a better option. The classic white header took forever because all the icons are in white, and had to be inverted. Unfortunately it was annoying in that it all used one singular image for its' header icons making replacing them with the old sheet tough. Luckily I was able to by adjusting the ... » Continue Reading
