Years ago, my mom left a glass with water and hydrogen peroxide in it for some reason I can't recall. Being the foolish kid I was, I took a sip without hesitation, thinking it was just plain water. The water had a strange taste, almost like a nut, and then my throat started to burn. It felt as if it were slowly dissolving, but nothing else happened beyond that.
