TASK 1
INTEGRATE INTO GOI-112620 SOCIAL SPHERE
TASK 2
CONNECT WITH MEMBERS OF GOI-112620 TO CREATE ALLIES ("Friends")
TASK 3
AWAIT FURTHER ORDERS
MISSION ID 120323-83-2146449-0001
...What? That was it? Go in there and make friends?
This wasn't what you joined the agency for. Sure, you didn't expect to get sent right into the action. But making friends on the internet? Of all the possible first missions? Not to mention the lack of an end date. Yeah, 'AWAIT FURTHER ORDERS', right. Like that was ever happening.
They just wanted to get rid of you. Why did they even bother recruiting you? How did this even help the agency? What on earth could they possibly have to gain? It's not like a secret agency can have PR issues.
What, are they planning to go public? You guess that could make things a little easier for lower-ranking agents like you. But if that were they case...
They'd need folks to like them. They need their agents to be seen as people, not faceless shadowy mooks serving an unknown goal. Not that you know what goal the agency is working towards, but you figure you'll be privvy to that kind of data once you've climbed the ladder high enough.
So if they want their agents to be people... Does this mission make sense? Are there other agents infiltrating the site as well? Wouldn't that make you teamed together? But you weren't told who else was on the mission... Unless you're not supposed to know. If you know who all your fellow agents are, it could arouse suspicion among the other users. You might get put in a situation where you're forced to breach secrecy. Or worse, you could leak secrets by sheer accident.
No. Absolutely unacceptable. You'll follow the mission to the letter.
You will make friends on SpaceHey dot com. Or die trying.
