i. hate. digitalization.

I hate everything about social media and digitalization. I could write a whole ass essay on how I absolutely despise social media, phones and overall the internet. Yes I know ironic, but have you ever thought about the state of internet nowadays? 

Lets start with social media, cause my god. Social media is designed to addict you and feed on your insecurities, just so they can market you products (don't let me even get started on adds) that do absolutely nothing or make you even worse. Also because we are constantly fed content we have started letting the internet tell us what to think, like and be mad about. We've lost our own opinions and thoughts.

Then there's the fact that everything everywhere feed you only things that support your beliefs, no matter how bat shit insane they are. That's why we have flat earthers, anti-vaxxers and what ever in the cluster fuvk insane people there are. All because "hey you like this absolutely abomination way of thinking let's feed you more bat shit insane ideas like this cause the algorithm likes it", so all these radical thinkers get pushed towards more people like them and get shown articles that only strengthen their beliefs.   

Everything being on the internet is. a. fuvking. subscription. You can't go to school without getting a subscription on the class material, you can't watch movies or videos, listen to music, have a program or app, read the news, or fuvking anything without it being a subscription service or being bombarded with adds that take longer than what ever you're trying to do. Everything has a pay wall. And because absolutely everything in on the internet we can't do anything else than pay for them. 

And my god. 5 year olds don't need a supercomputer in their back pocket, especially since most parents leave the patenting to the internet. Yes, your child having a phone in this day and age is important, but it doesn't need to be a smart phone, let alone a fuvking iphone 15 or some bs like that. A simple phone that you can text and call with is more than enough. 

I could go on and on about this, but I'll keep this short this time. With all of that said, I'm going to fully switch to my laptop for internet, social media, etc. Currently my plan is to get a MP3 player, flip phone, radio, CD-, cassette- and vinyl players, amongst other things cause my hate for especially phones has grown so much.

Maybe you should start thinking how has the internet and digitalization fucked you over, and is it worth being addicted to.
