Day 26 of improving myself until I get a girlfriend

I don't want to sound impatient or anything but I'm kinda on a roll right now so I'll get this post done first.

I read more of After Dark and Im nearly done, I'll finish the book by tomorrow at earliest. I have like 2 chapters left and that book has some really short chapters plus it's a relatively easy read. More thoughts on that in future. 

I will eat three full meals today. I already had breakfast and lunch but I just need to get dinner which I'll get with due time, the night's still young down here and I've still got time. For breakfast I had a steak sandwich and for lunch I had pasta, for dinner, I'm thinking chicken maybe.

I learnt about double speak today and there'll be more on that at the end but I do think it's a very useful skill for my debating or just in general.

The reason why I'm in such a hurry to get this done is because I'm actually writing a short story at the moment and one must strike while the iron is hot and at the moment the iron is hot with inspiration. I don't think I'll ever make my short stories public but who knows, if I'm truly happy with one, I might make it public.

I watched more of Frieren and it's really good actually, it's good a cute ass elf girl and she just walks around with her apprentice doing random tasks. It's nice to have such a mellow plot once in a while. I also watched the Wizard of Oz this morning and that was a fun movie, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Lastly, I spent the day studying and it was really productive, I buckled down and got my work done and I'm proud of myself for that. I finished the wave part of physics which is the shortest segment but I still finished the whole thing.

Thank you for reading but before you head out, I want to talk about double speak which is essentially the middle road between lying and telling the truth. Or a better way of saying it is that it's manipulating the truth by using specific word choices. Like how one would say that someone passed away instead of someone died. That's more euphemism though and a better example would be how Tony Soprano often says that he's in waste management instead of saying he's in the mafia. Think about this, you're at a job interview and your interviewer asks you what you did before getting this job and why you don't work at your previous company, let's also say you got fired from your previous job. Through double speak, we can say "I was employed at so and so company and was forced to retire due to unforseen circumstances" its not completely the truth but saying you were forced to retire is not entirely a lie. Double speak isn't necessarily bad but it's not necessarily good either, it depends on how you use it. Either way, it's important to pay close attention to the words that people use when talking to you so you aren't manipulated when someone used double speak and if you want to utilize it yourself, learn more big words and pay really close attention to every word that you use. I recommend looking further into it, there are many other methods for double speak.
