My next overclocking project

7800x was a bust, at least until I feel like delidding the chip, to maybe get a bit more headroom. My next plan is to revisit the old monster lying in the bottom of my cabinet

This is the X79 big bang xpower II, one of the most special boards I have in my fairly decent collection. I have it paired with an I7 3930k. Last time, I was able to push it to 5.1 ghz, from its stock speed of 3.8 ghz.

This VRM is also incredible, but it gets quite hot, so like before, I usually point a fan at it. I want to see how high I can take it, as I dont mind blowing up the cpu since these can usually be found on ebay for like at most, $10 a piece.
